if theres no reference of a distance limiter in your handbook then its probably cruise control in position 1 and speed limiter in position 2.i think ill have to get one of the companys demo keys and have a look.
all parts are covered in your first years warranty.in the second/third year warranty wear and tear parts arent covered although if something like a clutch fails prematurley then renault might pay for it in full or at least give you a large contribution.if you get to pissed off contact customer...
if your cruise control has two lights it may be the system with a distance limiter as well.when the switch is central the system is off.when the switch is in position 1 it keeps the vehicle at a speed that you set it to.when the switch is in position 2 it keeps the vehicle at your set speed and...
its always a faulty mirror sensor.the sensor in the mirror is easy enough to change.you just have to be careful when pulling the glass off.go and see your dealer.shouldnt take more than 20 mins to change.
If you supplied the oil and filter a dealer wouldnt charge much to change it for you.recommended oil is semi synthetic 10/40.you should report the garage to trading standards or somebody like that.just shows you how backstreet garages get a bad name.
which ever way you turn that makes the noise louder it will be the opposite bearing thats faulty.EG-if you turn left then the car body rolls to the right so loads up the right hand side wheel bearings.if the noise gets louder then its the right hand side wheel bearings(jack it up and spin the...
theyve the left new shafts on because the old ones were faulty but something else had damaged the shafts.i think ive had something to do with your car but it was quite a while ago and i cant remember what it was.the past few times its been in i havent done it.seen you when you came in cos i...
headgaskets are commen for leaking oil on the energy engines(at the front near the main oil feed).if its not a bad leak and your levels ok then i wouldnt be worried.
doesnt sound a partically good car really.its a lot of money seeing as hes selling it with a running problem that potentially could be exspensive to fix(lambs will probably charge about £50 diagnostic fee and then youve got the repair after that which could be pretty exspensive depending on what...
maybe a throttle potentiometer or idle valve problem. i dont think the speedo cable sensor would cause that.the computer only slightly increases revs(to prevent stalling) when you come to a halt(even if the speed information from the speedo sensor was indicating to the computer to increase the...
track arms can be repleced separatly from the rack(you can buy a track arm+gaitor kit from renault for about £30>40)and track rods ends can be replaced(about £30 from renault).best to change the track arm and the track rod end at the same time(if ones bent theres a good chance the other will...
this isnt nothing small like a engine mount(all the mounts are tight and ok).this isnt the commen knocking noise that you all get.this is the first 172 ive heard/felt do this.
theres now way you could say no fault found to cuppy(its something on the transmission side i dont know how he managed to drive it down).what have they told you it is anyway cuppy?
they do a 4inch slash tailpipe.all the pictures are on the website.im thinking of swapping to a k-tec cos my exhausts a bit loud.see http://www.k-tecracing.comwww.k-tecracing.com (tried to leave a link for you but it wont work for some reason)
as above^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.power steering fluid expands quite a lot when it gets hot so probably just taking the level above minimum but when it is cold the level is really low making the pump noisy.
looking at exhausts on the k-tec website the other day.there are several different tailpipe designs listed for the 172 but there are no pictures(apart from the 3inch twin pipes) or description to say what they are.there are five different tailpipes listed does anybody know what they are? have...
i would say there not the same+if you buy williams springs youll only get a front set and youll still have to buy some 172 rear springs so you might as well buy the complete 172 set.vice versa-if you are buying for the williams then whats the point buying 172 springs when you dont need the rear...
theres not a deal you could do to blow up an alternator(nothing that you wouldnt know about as soon as you reconnected the battery/started it up anyway).your renault dealer dont seem very good do they?
