Yeah, all the bolts have been undone, and I've dropped it down a few inches, but is there any reason it can't be removed completely? Steering rack an issue?
I'm mid-swap in my gearbox change. I've got the old box out, and a new one ready to go back in, but getting the old one out was a f**king nightmare! How easy is it to drop the subframe? I've dropped it a few inches, but want to see hoe easy it'll be to drop to the floor?
Right, so I'm changing my gearbox, as per benp's guide.
Do I need to change the gasket between the cat and the centre section?
Also, the plenum was sealed with some sort of black rubber.. What's the score? Do I need to replace the sealant, or will the old stuff still be good?

So, I know that the ph1 garbox has a speedo sensor and the ph2 uses the abs to work the speedo.
Is there anyway of adapting a Ph2 gearbox to accomadate the sensor? Or could I get my speedo working using the abs ring too?

You should be able to hear the fuel pump prime itself. Lay under the car and get someone to turn the key. You should hear it wake up.
Spark- Take a plug out and test it. Easy enough.
