I can't understand your post, but there really shouldn't be gearbox oil everywhere because of your clutch going. Inside the bell housing is dry.

Standard size is 185/55/15. 195/50/15 will fit fine, and might well be cheaper. They will make the wheels look (slightly) smaller in the arches though.

Should just be 3 or 4 clips on the airbox. Undo them, and it'll pull apart. Filter is inside.

As said above, really. Cosmetics are the only massive difference. That, and the Ph2 has traction control etc. Interior is much, much nicer in the Ph2. Other options for that money? GTi-6? 106 GTi? VTS? Drive one.

P.s, the brakes will work just as well without the engine running, you just have to push harder!

Just keep the rope tight and it's a doddle. Make sure the car behind is doing all the braking. You'll be sticking your foot through the floor, but it'll be fine. Use a diseasel to tow, if possible. Much more torque lower down.
