Renaultsports all have a dodgy/irratic idle.
Slight throbbing could be the engine mounts. It also could be a minor earthquake. Or even you having a heart attack.

I'd be tempted to say yes.
The chances of them using a different one are slim. Even if it's wrong, it's only a tenner. If not, call Renault and get a price!
Standard size is 185/55/15.
195/50/15 will fit fine, and might well be cheaper. They will make the wheels look (slightly) smaller in the arches though.

Cosmetics are the only massive difference. That, and the Ph2 has traction control etc.
Interior is much, much nicer in the Ph2.
Other options for that money? GTi-6? 106 GTi? VTS?

Make sure the car behind is doing all the braking. You'll be sticking your foot through the floor, but it'll be fine.
Use a diseasel to tow, if possible. Much more torque lower down.
Everytime I move the steering wheel anymore than 6" on the Almera I'm using, I get a horrible groaning/rubbing noise.
It's not rubbing on the arches anywhere- I've checked.
