Isn't there a 'how to' for fixing leaking sunroofs?
Fixed two for people at work, you just need a 10mm ratchet spanner, tube of silicon and a couple of hours.
Was reading an older thread on here this morning about a similar problem that was down to water damage in the plug under the washer bottle.
Well found!
Reckon you're better of buying a new set of locking bolts and remove the rest with a tool.
i have 3 lock keys and they look the same as yours but I know they don't fit the same car at home!
Please don't put your hand down there, the chances are slim but there could be a needle or glass in there.
Got a bolocking at work for doing it, our drainage team have hepatitis injections and wear special protective gauntlets!
if you can't pull it up with a fish tank magnet, I don't think...
The 182 was registered in June 2004 so it must be due a cambelt, unless it was done late. Will see if I get a knock at the door!
Took my wife's '58 plate 197 for it's 5 year cam belt change last year, the next day I took my 60 plate 71k mile 200 cup in for the same, Fred commented how much...
I pass an '04 182 nearly every day and in 2 years I've only seen it move twice.
Sooo, as i 'm looking for a bit of a project, I decided to knock the door. Turns out it's a guy who must be in his seventies, has owned it for 7 years and it has only done 19k miles! The seatbelts were still clicked...
There are some valid points on here although I'm surprised 172's are cheaper over here, especially as it will be right hand drive in a left hand drive country.
Personally, I'd expect a small deposit, but I don't like to take risks!
Could be on a private plate.
Can't try and tax it as I don't have enough details.
Think the only way to find out is to do a HPI or similar.
It was due a Cambelt October !
Ironically, saw this in the for sale section and pm'd the guy, never got a reply!
Tried to get an insurance quote using my old Clio 182 reg and it came up not found, got the same result when i tried to see if it was taxed-must be scrapped now, I spent loads of time and money to get it sorted...
Looked at some insurance quotes and thought I'd put the reg of my old 182 in that I sold 12 months ago.
Insurance company didn't recognise the reg so tried to see if it was taxed and got the same result.
Anywhere else I can check? :(
Door handle is in a stupid position, the 200's are further back!
Mine doesn't catch the wing, it's as of only one hinge moved and when you shut the door you can feel the lock rubbing on the striker on the body of the car.
Tempted to jack under the door, but wondered if the hinge was adjustable...
The wife opened her car door yesterday and the wind ripped it out of her hand.
I heard a crunch noise, then went to shut the door and it appears to be about 3mm lower now and drags on the door catch.
Any idea if the hinges are adjustable?
I reckon the faulty 'drumstick' is the inner track rod, about £50ish from Renault and you may possibly need to buy/make/borrow a tool to replace it.
If the bottom swivel has failed (common problem) they're £200 from renault and took me 4 hours to replace on the drive. You can get the swivel...
I need to change the gearbox oil on my 350Z and am going to order one of these (my tablet won't let me paste a link but search ebay for 'suction gear box').
Will it work with the Clio?
