    The tow car

I would hope so, laminated walls too. Little things like that is what ends up costing loads of money in a conversion.

    The tow car

Yeah would give it a go anywhere look anyway but I bet it would whistle like a biatch at speed which I don't want from previous experience with roof racks. It would need a snorkel too though lol. I'm tempted to fit the face lift front end to modernise it a little.

    The tow car

Yeah don't know why I didn't mention that too as its one of the best parts, they have an eberspacher (sp) night heater, switch control panels for all electrics and just generally, side windows, and a tidy install with the furniture and seating. There is 3 different layouts afaik that NR specced...

    The tow car

Yeah that will look good, modulars are crazy cheap too. I got mine from 4x4 tyres.co.uk, some good packages on there. Just a home built 3 tier bunk bed for me and any helpers I have for a race. Will do a bit of a camper van conversion inside, as I have said before the network rail vans have...

    Cup Racer

Sounds like a really good car, getting on for mk3 racer money though. So much want for one of these gearboxes. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/motorsport/track-day-cars/track-only/clio-cup-racer--sequential-gearbox-car-23-of-35--dastle-racebox-also-available/1683086

    A season in BTCC...

That Croft pic where they are three cars deep is one of the best Motorsport photos I have seen tbh from a content point of view. I can't comment on the technical side.

    pms low temp thermostat

Common thing to have fitted to foreign cars with a higher ambient temp. All it would do on a road car is take longer to heat the car up, Clio's take long enough as it is for a petrol car. They work a treat on some cars as on the Corsa VXR's they run hot at an average of 105 degrees, knocks it...

Tidy's up the bumper nice, colour coded with a sticker of some type would look good.

Camber - Fast Road/ Track Use

172 cup. I have had nearly 5 degrees both sides on my car with the camber bolts in the top hole.

    The tow car

Yeah I have got the nack for getting the box to kick down now, a manual box would be better. Did you do your lift yet?

    The tow car

Yeah I'm looking forward too it, there is word of it being worse than 2010 :D, that should hopefully mean I can board well into may again. The hills have been getting their first covering up here the last week. A van is what I would have had, parking and having it as my only transport stops me...

Another Clio 172 Cup track/race build.

As Tony said, standard rad mounts. James has a good way of fixing it, long rod on the rad that goes through the mount, repair washer on the underneath and then an r-clip to hold It together.

172 cup shocks & new springs

Get two new ones and a pair of Eibach camber bolts, it will work out cheaper as iirc the shocker bolts are over £10 retail. The bolts are usually alright, have had a couple strip the threads on the way off. Eibach bolts are cheap on eBay but not sure on springs.

My write off and new car.

^^^ amen to that, some people's s**t doesn't stink on here. Nothing more annoying than someone who thinks they're perfect. Edit: not you impreza's works (forget your name now) just a generalisation.

Ah okay so the engine is irrelevant for the average joe. Yeah that's what I was suggesting the Brembos, seen a few cars with them retro fitted. So you stay with the classic discs and hoses or you take the 01-05 stuff. I could look but since your here, what is there to look out for on the DCCD...

The Impreza picture and discussion thread

Its a mine field with these things but basically get a late STI type R if I want a 2 door with DCCD, the strongest engine available in the later cars (semi closed) and they have a quick rack and LSD. Next question do the later cars 4 pots and 2 pots just swap over?

My write off and new car.

Maybe the wrong words and a bit of an exaggeration but most inexperienced drivers (new drivers) have had a bash that I know in there first 6 months to a year of driving. It isn't classed as a no fault claim as you say there is no such thing but when the police verify that it was due to...

My write off and new car.

Yeah I would have had to foot the bill for the lamp post but it was waived due to conditions. The police put it down to a previous spill which had dried and the conditions I described, roads are always at there worst after a dry spell then a light coating of rain as I'm sure you know. That's...

My write off and new car.

Had been sunny all week, rain started (so very greasy) on my way home from work on a dual carriageway, take the slip road into my village which has a a fairly sharp 90 deg bend at the end of said slip road, turned in about 30mph untill half way round the corner and then under steered into a...

My write off and new car.

The boy knows he's done bad I bet and I'm sure he's had it in the neck from friends and family, I think his description was a little melodramatic as can be seen by the crashed car pics, it looks like its had a bad fall on its roof, could happen at 20mph. I crashed my first car into a lamp post...

My write off and new car.

Exactly, not enough Darwin awards to go around on here and I'm not even sure its older people (life's passed them by so they're angry) that comment in these threads half the time. Did you never f**k about as a teenager..... probably not. I get the feeling a lot of users on here were brought up...

Just jad had a look through them, the white type r seems nice at face value and that first RA is just round the corner from me although I have never seen it about, looks rough in the pics though and chavy to me. That lads spent some time on his RA, I'm guilty if doing similar with my cars but...

The Impreza picture and discussion thread

Cheers for that, the STI type R sounds ideal as I love the 2 door cars, I wouldn't want to spend too much on it as it would just be a summer car to have some fun, have a laugh on a few track days and sell on. Are you saying the DCCD boxes only came in some of the type R's and RA's? Would you say...

    R8 brake discs

Its changed now, just an oversight butt the pictures have the numbers anyway so I 'll be okay. It's a superseded number, maybe something to with the newer models like the rs5 using them now or something, that often happens with part numbers.

The Impreza picture and discussion thread

I better prepare my flame suit here but the average joe doesn't have the sense or the balls to jet wash their engine bays ( same with most cars though) but the fact impreza's are so busy and the manifolds flake doesn't help them.
