Your car is getting there mate. Would you or are you selling the DCI? if so how much?
Have you got some links to the parts too for your filter setup and what you used on the bullets, I tried cleaning mine but they ain't looking too hot.
Yeah day or night doesn't matter much, what's important is I'm on dry land that day.
I am trying to find if there's a day on saturday too then I can make it an overnighter to warrant the trip down and warrant booking holidays too :p
I see what you did there.
I would love to have something similar but without tubbing my arches and rebuilding the strut tops my setup is as extreme as its going to get as far as caster and track width. Camber is adjustable to about 10 degrees so have no great use for it yet.
If I get a cheap...
Whos mike?
Exactly, I work adhoc and have to book holidays in 5 day blocks. Plus you can only have so many doctors appointments a year without suspicion.
Yes typically but its quite common to see f4r's with compression down due to the piston ringland.
It could also be a leaky valve or knackered fire ring on your head gasket (not likely on a Clio I'm told)
EDIT: im forgetting its for a pulsar
Either have them all out when doing each cylinder or take them out one at a time so the test is equal.
putting drops of 'oil' into the cylinder helps to show wether its rings or valves/ head gasket.
Make sure to remove the coil pack plug.
Sure there nearly as wild as you can go with standard pistons but combined with forged high comp pistons you would be looking for more, I'm sure he uprated valves and springs too.
you have already had the outlay on Quaife so I guess it makes sense to get your money's worth from it.
What your saying is racecars aren't show cars, get out there and race what you have!
Might be where I pulled that from then, ain't it forged with 421's though?
Expensive!! up my way your...
Fair enough I neither have loads of money and would be of the same mindset but mine aint built yet so i buy upgrades when I can afford. You pay roughly the same price for both diffs at the end day for a fair bit in difference. I'm not trying to slate yours or anyone's car, just saying I noticed...
It only comes off with a rub if its light overspray, thick layers like I already said will have to be peeled off. If your a doubter and I know I was very sceptical about it then buy a can and have a go, what's the worst that can happen?!?!? You have to peel it off!!!
Like every racer has said here with a Quaife, there a improvement but a compromise for competition. I understand the servicing thing, I just noticed a few cars spinning everywhere recently which defeats the purpose for me personally.
Ahrite okay, I wondered where that had went. It only made...
Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra
Any links or more pics of this blog? Interested how its been done, the above picture looks a bit suspect for a rally car.
Mine were an absolute mare due to the size of my seats although Its pretty simple in theory tbh, its just trial and errror for best placement, something somebody cant tell you. It's two seat rails that span from the exhaust tunnel to the sills, how you have them angled, spaced, height etc etc is...

A site that might interest you for some pieces off the s1600's.

No haven't driven a Clio with one but have driven FWD with LSD's (gear type) I'm not saying it isn't an improvement but from watching you guys recent videos and chips videos they spin all over the place, engine note is never constant always loosing traction it seems. Just an observation more...
Ahrite okay, they look differ t to ktec maybe because of the finish you have on them, how am heavy are they compared to a sheet of plastic would you say.
Quick pic of how I done my seat bars, not the best pic.
careful with seat position to as I had to dent the tunnel to fit how I wanted.
If its not sprayed on thick then it just rubs off and tears if you pull it over a sharp edge or across a panel gap. Stonechip's are dealt with by cleaning and a good thick layer to key to the old. A couple of my mates have used it now to de chrome their Audi's as previously said in here. Its not...
Yup I know all about the costs of building one, I have yet to find out the costs of racing and the up keep. I can't blame tarting mine up for not being out, its pure lazyness and my painter .
The service life is a bonus but grippers needing rebuilt every year is a bit of a myth IMO from...

I was in the same situation and the biggest shaft I could find with 32 spline inner and outer cv was from a ph1 1.9d Scenic which turned out to be the same length as the shafts I have fitted to my 172 cup. I...
Either that or physically check because if wires are rubbed through you will get false continuity readings, that and these cars seem to share earths with about 1000 different components.
Take out your battery and unsecure all looms around that area and relay box, take of conduate and have a...
