Maybe a sticky throttle if yours is a ph1 Otherwise it sounds a lot like a vacuum leak - split pipe or missing gasket on the inlet manifold

Get a nice low mileage one - swap the conrod bolts for ARP ones as they're cheap and very easy to do while the engines out - and chuck it in Cams are expensive for these engines so unless you've got a grand lying around for cams and a map I wouldn't bother - get it back on track and have fun...

I have the map that my 2nd hand throttle body kit came with - done by K-Tec on a 182 I ran my 172 cup with Jenveys and Omex 600 on it for 3 months - it's a bit crap low down but will get you to a proper map safe enough I would have thought Is it Jenveys you are running? I can email it...

If theres any silicon sealer around there get it all removed and cleaned out! Can't see any on the pic though Pull the black seal out and tap the new one in with a socket - they're a bit delicate so be gentle :D
