I'm really not sure tbh, I just got it home last night but there's a far bit of oil on the exhaust mani and down the back so I'm pretty sure it's more than a bolt. Im getting a big shopping list together for it and i'll blitz it in one. It's good to do everything at once and never have to worry...
Haha, I'll get a shot of the tools then.
Do you just buy all 4 cam seals and dephaser solenoid seal from Renault or is here cheaper alternative.
Worked out quite expensive iirc for them all o.e.m
Re: Finding the RIGHT Clio Sport to buy..
You have went around it all wrong by the sound's of it, you should have had written or verbal evidence with someone
else hearing it. If she denied then get the cops involved right there and then if you know your in the right, your not going to lose...
I'm clutching at straws here and I know it's not the "CORRECT" way to do things..... but have you ever redone timing without the pulley locking tools knowing it was perfect before removal?
I need to seal the cam cover on my new cup.
I don't have all the timing tool's to hand but I do have the horseshoe (the type that bolts to head if needed) would you suggest removing the cam cover with this in place, cleaning and replacing. I'm sure it would work, not ideal but the only thing...
+1
I got about 10mm worth of movement on the 6 axle cradle bolts then they locked solid, gave up on fitting new bolts and just tightened old up.
After you drop the tank the initial time to remove the the axle, chop the swivel bolt down and it will stop the need to drop the tank every time.
Your looking for rack bushes from a Clio mk2 cup racer and they will put you threw to Motorsport store, give them listed part numbers, bob's your mothers brother.
Ahem, right at the top lol.

Quite a bit of standard camber and it doesn't look like its because your beam is bent as camber/toe are equal each side. I'm trying to decide on shims just now, I really need my beam checked before hand though.
Yeah they are quite expensive but once you weigh up the quality, reliability, accuracy not to mention the neater install im told they provide then they are not too bad. All there gauges have two readings as well with all the senders etc supplied so no need for two separate gauges.
I'm sorry mate I don't think they compare to SPA gauges in any way shape or form. Spa comes with pre made looms, different backlight colours, contrast, brightness, high/low level warnings amongst other features. Accurate to 0.1 PSI
Keen to know myself, I'm just away to order one these gauges. Supposedly it comes with a heat shrink pre made loom with a separate button to control all the functions. All it needs is a live feed and earth supposedly.
Some say 1 deg but most of the hunter printouts I have seen were 0.7 deg standard, printouts were not for cups iirc though so may be slightly more on them.
What size are SPA gauge senders thread size? Would there be room for pressure and temp senders on my oil cooler take off?
From what I can find the biggest an8 sender take off is 1/8 npt and SPA's senders look a hell of a lot bigger.
Cheers Pete
Don't rub it in! I done mine at my GP, that's the going rate for 1/2 hour with the doctor supposedly, better doctors iirc ;)
Pete gave me a link but I would of had to travel to Glasgowshire anyway to get it for £40.
Yeah that's all part off it, the blue book is £28 alone ffs, don't know what they think the DVD's are use for other than the bin.
Did you have to buy the go racing pack? It would be good if you could hand down the pack to someone and just pay for a new form and the test itself.
Yeah as Tony says, £300 up at Knockhill but I was lucky to get a group buy on it, 120+vat for medical (south of Hadrian's wall seem's to get it cheaper ;)) and then £68 for your license itself plus you need to join whatever club you will race with.
Cheers, thanks for the comments.
The car isn't built yet so no footage I'm afraid, that will change soon when I get a 2nd car this week and will get that ready quickly for some track days soon. It's hard to say when I will be out with my line of work (I work as and when required) but should get...
