Cheers. No planed dates tbh, i'll just get bits done when I can and getting everything together including safety gear, tow car etc etc will take a while so that's why I have bought a 2nd car to do some track days for just now.
You'll breeze it.
:D
My sprayer called today too, he is wanting my car over to do the interior so that should be done soon.
After doing my ARDS I'm definitely needing some more track time round KH before I go racing and cant wait to get my new cup out for a few days, I have been collecting a few bits to make it a...
Passed my ARDS today :) I was a bit worried about the theory tbh.
I woke up at 5am to get down to Knockhill on time and went outside to a frosty car :S, it was into the minuses where I stay and by the time I got to KH at 8am it was reading -5 in the car. Shitting myself about going out on the...
They are the wrong ones after calling again this morning. Kam are getting back to me on there new price for the black version today.
That price isn't the best I have seen for the old style and they are not hard to fit, just make sure its more than a tack weld you put on and weld it 70% of the...
What the hell was that mini doing at 2:20 it was clearly your corner, I have seen less pitch on a yacht, it looks dangerous lol.
Well held by Sam when the fiesta hit, I never knew you had a bump, did the cup come off bad?
Re: Clio turbo out at bedford (inc following Mikes ITB car and a huge 100mph+ sideway
Yeah that's why I asked, it stalls the turbo aswell as I'm sure you know but sounds epic doing it.

The Quaife behaves quite like an open diff by spinning inside wheel and spinning after touching kerbs which I was surprised at. Maybe its a bit much power for its use but I bet it made an alright...
Wests Renault is a fair bit cheaper than quoted in here.
Heres a good pricelist of common parts.

Valves look below flush mate? It depends how he mills it. If he fly cuts it all at once you will need to remove protruding valves, if he is using a milling head he can steer around the valves.
Its better to have it fly cut as there is no chance of varying thickness /lips.
Off course it was comedy gold, we did try to tell him no. When I say the gear box broke it blow a hole in the casing and spewed everywhere, must have been a massive engine over speed too.
They are a lot sturdier and you would expect them not to move but a little knock on a kerb and they will shift.
I have yet to see the new ones in person yet. They look to have 10mm's worth of room that could be machined giving you bottom arms like the cup racers run.
Yeah cheers mate I know this, there are still a lot of company's with stock of old. The old sleeve isn't stainless btw it's carbon as it welds to the arms and the new style should be welded IMO as theres room for the arm to move forward and back even though they are a press fit.
I will be...
Basically a trade off between good performance and comfort if there is such a spring that can do both.
As said I would consider removing them after summer if a certain spring was good for handling but rubbish for ride.
A 30mm drop in height would be good too for COG.
4th year service on most cars is the big one, brake fluid, coolant, plugs, valve clearances(not common nowadays) Adjust wheel bearings if appropriate and some other vehicle specific checks usually.
Its more than just an oil and filter that a 12k service is in Renault's case.
Yeah I have read many threads about them now, not many on eibach or H&R's for performance.
I know springs are just a compromise between coilovers and standard but what would have. I'm not really into CS trends as you say, everything becomes 'cool' for a while and then fades away.
I would...
Im going to be doing a full suspension refresh on my new 172 cup that I will use for a few track day's this summer, the car will then be given to my mum as a runaround after that so I don't want a harsh ride really.
Im going to replace all the dampers with new OEM and while at it I was going...
