Don't get the cheapest FFS - they have slow transfer rates and if you do any 720P video on your camera or rapid photos you'll notice
Got a cheap one currently in my girlfriends 1100D and every time you take a photo it flashes for 2 seconds trying to write it to the card lol...
Haven't been able to get the map off my shitty old windows laptop yet as it won't connect to my wifi LOL
I'll stick it on a USB pen tonight and email it to you
I had a look through the OX FB settings though and none of them have been set to zero as it says in the omex manual to disable o2...
Oh wow - someone did mention a mk1 clio lambda but I didn't know the plug/connector was the same as on the omex loom
Thanks mate I'll order one now - and i'll email you over the map.
Owe you a beer! :D
No I don't mate
The guy I bought the ECU/Loom from had it all mapped without a Lambda - I found the lambda plug hidden away
I've got an innovate wideband running and the 2nd feed from that is doing nothing so I was thinking about feeding that into the Omex but not sure how
And I'm not sure then...
LEGEND
They were actually showing about 4.5 on the synchrometer so tweaked them open to 6.0
Set the TPS raw values again
Also tweaked the target idle rpm
Ran it up and it ticks over nicely when cold, when warm it's showing 14.0 on the wideband
Sounds smooth as silk
Spark total was showing 15...
You what??? LOL
They definitely aren't easier or quick - they're a pain in the ass.
The reason for them is they are stronger so the bonnet won't fly up on track but MORE IMPORTANTLY I can't have a slam panel because the throttle bodies are in the way - and without a slam panel there's nothing...
I was tempted to throw one in yesterday - but I've not checked the torque settings on anything and I've had subframe off, engine loose, manifolds off, wheels off etc.. etc..
So I calmed myself down with some Xbox LOL
Saturday morning I'll get it on axel stands - torque everything - bung up the...
I fitted my Jenvey bodies a month or two ago and it ran really rough - the balance was miles out and the TPS raw values were wrong etc.. etc..
It did however register around 14 on the wideband on idle
I've now set the idle screw, balanced the bodies, and configured the TPS raw values on the...
Yeah - I wish it was a bit quicker but Christmas is heavy on the wallet LOL
Be glad to get the seats in and get the car out on the road - looking forward to the Lincs meet... take it for it's first ever thrash round the bypass with no filters LOL!
In the spirit of starting the new year as I mean to go on - I spent new years day in the garage (after the hangover had warn off)
Managed to get the aerocatches fitted with Leah's help
Riley gave me a spare bonnet so I marked up the drivers side on that and got chopping. Once I was 100%...
Yep - this is mine
Started off as the OMP 6 point cage - had another diagonal welded in to make a full cross and then 2 harness bars :)
I personally wouldn't want one where the one is in the pic above - it's too low really
Simple answer - nope
As soon as you disconnect it the airbag light goes off on the dash
But seeing as I took my dials apart to put a bit of tape over the engine mangement and coilpack fault light - I also taped over the airbag light
I then removed the side impact sensors and the airbag ecu -...
I'm just going to explain that it's running an Omex ECU and not the standard Renault one so some functions don't work as per normal.
If it doesn't pass it'll be getting a dodgy MOT - silly law anyway. What does an engine management light have to do with safety?
ABS not functioning I could...
I took my dials apart and put black tape across the engine management lights lol
Mines going in next winter to have all the renault wiring removed, race 2 dash fitted.. etc..
Just hope it goes through the MOT in march!
Yes and no LOL
If you already have an oil cooler you've probably got a mocal one
With those I believe you have to drill and tap a new hole - or you can buy ones off ebay that have a couple of 1/8th holes for sensors and the 2 big holes for the oil cooler take off
LOL I thought you might say that - wait till I pop over and take you for a spin ;) You'll probably start building yours back up again lol
I haven't wired them in yet - it looks pretty simple though. One wire that goes to the sensor
I've ordered a sandwich plate that fits in-between the engine...
I'm on my own till new year mate so haven't risked swapping bonnets myself LOL - knowing my luck I'd put it through the windscreen
Next weekend me and Leah are gonna swap the bonnets and get chopping :D
