Had a busy couple of days
Leah and her parents spoilt me this christmas and bought me a Stack oil temp gauge and Stack oil pressure gauge - and a set of locking aerocatches
Boxing day she headed off to wales with her parents so I got cracking cutting the headunit blanking plate up and...
Ahhh I've just bought all the bits I need to cut my bonnet for aerocatches - so I'll trim the support braces away for the filter too :)
You going on track at all this year? I wouldn't mind comparing cars in the metal lol
I don't think you'll notice much difference between the 400D and the 1000D
The screen and AF system is shite on the 1000D
It's what I had first but swapped it in for a 450D a month later lol
Wow that sounds rough as f**k
Get them balanced mate
I bought the balancing tool (air flow meter thing) for about £45 which considering it says balancing them is a service item every year aint bad
Took me about 30mins to balance them all - then hooked the laptop up and reset the TPS raw values...
10/10 - 2 years of ownership, it's now on 116k+, never had any problems at all except the starter motor failed which cost £30 and took 2hrs to fix
Best car I've ever owned
Yeah - I'm so excited
Leah also bought me a stack oil temp and stack oil pressure gauge. Just made up a stereo blanking plate this afternoon. Gonna nip into town tomorrow and buy a 52mm hole cutter and get them done. Then the dashboard is complete
Marked up for the aerocatches today too - get...
Bought the car some Bimarco Futuras with subframes and side mounts, cup racer steering wheel and hub.
My lovely girlfriend bought it a Stack oil pressure guage, Stack oil temperature gauge and a set of aerocatches
Other than painting the inside and buying some sticky rubber that's pretty much...
Oooh my lovely girlfriend got me some Aerocatches for christmas - and Riley has donated his old bonnet for me to do a trial fitment on
I'll hopefully get them cut and fitted next weekend and then I can fit my new Bimarcos and come over in the Clio
Will be it's first outing in 3 months!! Can't wait!
You reckon I can get away with driving it from my house to pride of lincoln (less than 1 mile) with the bonnet off? LOL
Don't think i'll have time to fit my aerocatches before then
Yeah - I'm just wondering if you can chop the end off (the bit that has the 2nd lambda in) and weld it shorter?
To be honest I'm thinking of ditching the K-Tec stealth, buying a sports cat (£70 off ebay) and then having a full manifold back system made with a 2.5" outward rolled tailpipe cut...
I've got a 182 manifold fitted to my 172 Cup
My MOT is due in march - I'm sure you can see where this is going
They're connected at the moment with a link pipe that was "home made" - no cat
What's my options for a cat to make it road legal? Is it just the K-Tec sports cat that's £300?
Can you...
Same oil catch tank as me (lol) - have a look on my progress blog mate
It fits REALLY nicely between the water reservoir and PAS bottle - you can just drill a couple of holes for the bolts and then bolt it from the passenger footwell
I need to order an airbox for mine tomorrow and then cut it...
Bit weird - logic board doesn't involve replacing the screen
Sounds more like the extent of the work was so high that they put your hard drive in another macbook pro and gave you that - but with the wrong screen
My curse also - I've really enjoyed building the Clio this year but I'm already starting to worry about it being finished and not having anything else to work on.
I love doing track days but the real fun is building the thing! :D
That's my problem too - but it's only 10min walk into town. I'm gonna try to force myself to take a lunch break every day and do a bit of street photography :)
THIS!!!
I have really mixed feelings about it - I hate the fact that flickr is now just a huge collection of poor quality phone photos - but then I've got some friends that post on instagram when they're out and about and the photos are better than I do with my SLR
I decided if I do a 365 I'm...
Yes mate - I'm gonna be using Blyton next year as my test/setup track - its only £99 for a full day
My 172 is currently sat in the garage with no interior and no way to hold the bonnet down lol
Picking some seats up christmas eve - then got to cut my bonnet and get some aerocatches fitted. Need...
I'm really tempted to try a project 365 (or 366 due to the leap year) - but not sure if I'd end up hating myself
Might do a project 52 instead
Very tempted to get a Canon G12 as a daily carry around camera and basically try to get out the office/house more and do more with my camera
This!!
I'm picking the bucket seats up for my car over xmas/new year so if it's mid Jan i'll come for a run out see how the ITB's perform
Pride of Lincoln is only 2 miles away mind lol
I have re-read it now. Understand. Agree.
BHP is merely torque with engine speed anyway. You can't get BHP without torque.
As we're not talking about changing the RPM of the engine or the redline of it - then losing torque is losing acceleration.
Gaining torque is gaining acceleration
If you...
