Yeah I just want to round the other corner off too make it look a bit more factory - but I can't get to it
I think i'll be able to when the shocks are out though so I'll have a go then :)
Been a while since I've done an update so here goes...
I've had the clio now for nearly 18 months
I bought it lowered on Eibach springs (-20mm) with a K-tec racing full stainless stealth exhaust
I've done nothing to it really except fit Vibratechnic engine mounts, Recaro leather front seats, a...
Absolute legend thanks for that mate
Got a flap wheel for the drill and got an angle grinder - so I now know what my bank holiday weekend is going to spent doing :D
If you could that would be awesome
I'm gutting the interior out of mine today and want to try to remove any brackets and smooth them over before I spray all the interior matt black :)
Awesome build so far - same cage I'm after
Am I right in thinking you've managed to remove the brackets the rear seats clip to? Around the rear suspension turrets?
I've been trying to find out if that's possible for ages
I dunno how you've managed that!
I've got Eibach Sportlines on my cup with standard shock absorbers and it's hard! It's a more harsh ride than the billstein shockers and springs I had on my 106
Sportlines are definitely not all show - been round the ring and done a load of track days and I...
Cheers guys
Yeah Classicsheepflavour never seems to just roll of the tongue lol
The car is a brilliant example - it seems to have endless power
I know what people are saying about 106's too - you have to ring the neck of them all the time to get power
The clio seems a lot more effortless
Oh...
Since I've had the car a year now I thought I'd better get a bit of a progress blog up
The car was owned by Sir_Dave and another lad on here (sorry if you're reading - forgot your username :() - and I picked it up January last year
It's high mileage but has been thoroughly loved all it's...
I've been raving about these for years - since I first had them on my 106 GTi
In the past 2 years I've had conti sports because I felt they handled a little bit better in the dry - but yesterday I got some 2118's fitted with 205/50/15 Uniroyal Rainsports and the grip is insane
I'm nearly...
Re: Dave.'s Cammed, 2118'd Carbon obsession
Whiteline ARB is the best thing I've fitted to my 172 cup.. transforms the car
did you get around to fitting the center caps yet? I got some 2118's yesterday and seeing that rear cap through the middle of the wheel is already annoying me lol
The stub axel doesn't seem bent - the disc/bearing slid off fine and the new one went on fine
And the wheel definitely isn't 23mm further in at the front - it looks visually nearly the same as the drivers one
Is there any points I could measure to see what's bent? :(
Earlier this year before I went to FCS I went to get the car tracked and the guy put the front tracking gear on the back and told me my rear passenger wheel was showing 3 degrees of toe in

I want to move my battery into the boot
Stumbled upon this photo
Where can I get a bracket like that?
All the ones I can find are for the race batteries rather than a full size one
Pete speaks sense - 55-250mm is a nice beginners zoom lens
The 70-200mm f4L is mind blowingly sharp - but It's £600. I'd start with the 55-250 and see how you get on
And yes EVERYONE who owns a canon should own a nifty fifty at some point
Agreed - more tyre on the road and a bit of kerb-protection LOL
Glen at Revolution has spoken to speedline and we've gone with ET43
It might put the rear tyres a bit close to the shockers but I'd rather have to put some 3mm spacers in than get some wheels that stick out too far and rub :)
Actually never mind as I just stumbled upon this thread -> http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?218423-2118-s-Fitted-With-full-Photoshoot
They're ET43 and look **** on - so I'll stick to them :D
Close thread if you want
I've put a deposit down today on some new 2118's in 15"
I've ordered 205/50/15 tyres as I wanted a bit more rubber on the tarmac
I just realised when I got home though that speedline do ET38 and ET43 in the white 2118's
Which ones do I want?
Presumably ET38 to be close to the cup...
Just had my MOT
Among other things it's failed cos he said the clip has dissapeared that secures the CV boot (the large one)
Is this a case of stainless steel cable tie or jubilee clip? Or do I need to buy a new cv boot to get a new clip?
Thanks
Yeah I've got like 3 spare if anyone needs one?
Not sure I'm going now as after being there for Trax it's a s**t venue for photos/spectating - everything is the other side of a bloody 8ft high metal fence
It was better at donnington!
