    Heated mirror

Yes it's the same button as the heated rear window. IIRC, to get the glass off, there should be a circular metal spring which holds the glass on the back plate. It is accessible by separating the two ends of the spring, situated behind the glass, but getting to them will be awkward. If you...

    Heated mirror

Yeah the heating element is bonded on to the back of the mirror glass, with two "spade" type connectors that attach it to the wiring loom coming from the base plate on the door. If you turn on the mirrors when they are all misted up (such as when its foggy), you can see the outline of the...

    Heated mirror

Could be a loose or corroded connection onto the back of the mirror glass. Failing that, the glass itself may need replacing if the element has gone.

    headlight adjustment

You don't get that dial on 1*2s with Xenons. They auto adjust via a sensor on the rear axle/beam thingy.

    Steamed up head light

Silica Bags are very good at absorbing moisture. Try it - if it doesn't work, you've lost nothing.

    Silver 1*2, Petersfield

Ahh... I never noticed it before on my patrols in the area. Shame if it's not being used though.

'Rear fog lamp tell tale not working'

Check the fuse first. If that's ok check the foglight bulb and replace if necessary. After that, check that the tell-tale light on the dash works. If not, then you might need to whip out the dash and replace the tiny bulb in there.

    Car hesitating when cold

When my 182 is cold, I'll be driving along at speed, then the car will just stop accelerating. If I push the loud pedal, nothing happens - it actually starts slowing down! It doesn't seem to matter if I down change to 4th. The problem does eventually go away, but as it normally happens on fast...

    White 197 Cup - A325 Bordon

Spotted coming out of Whitehill and joining the A325 yesterday afternoon. I was in the Police Volvo behind you. I have to say it did look awesome in white with black wheels.

    172 Fog light

There are loads on there matey: http://search.ebay.co.uk/clio-fog-lights_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQdfspZ32QQfromZR40QQfsprZ1QQssPageNameZWD8B I think in hindsight, they might actually be the same on all models of the same year/type. You'll need the ones with the two tabs on either side.

    172 Fog light

IIRC, no they're not. They're the same as some Lagunas, I think. Have a look on eBay, they're on there for around £20, which is about as cheap as you're going to get them tbh. I've been through 2 spares now!

    Black 182 - A325 Bordon

Waiting in the queue at the lights through Bordon this afternoon at about 3pm. I was one of the 2 police officers standing outside in the rain. :)

    New headlights!

I don't think they look all that bad tbh. They're quite understated and subtle.

My 172 Cup has been STOLEN.

Gutted for you Mark. I'm not sure there's anything I can say really. I would feel sick to my stomach and very angry. Of course I will keep an eye out for it in this part of Hampshire and up and down the A3 on my patrols.

Possibly a Cup, on the A33 towards Reading just after 7 this morning. You pulled up along side me at the Chineham lights. :)

    Liquid Yellow 182, A33 Basingstoke

I bought mine 2nd hand from a guy off here. You've got a 172, so any system you buy will be different, as you don't have the twin exit bumper as per the 182. Milltek do one for the 172 though. Have a look at http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2369

    Higher tyre pressure for economy?

^Agreed. I love my CC. It's especially great for those awful average speed camera zones on motorway roadworks.
