Thanks... the blueflame one sounds decent from a value for money point of view.... I feared the standard exhaust would be rather expensive.
BozM how do you like the sound of your blueflame exhaust?
I notice if i play something like dance music, the bass causes the rear speakers to rattle. I presume this is the covers as I cant imagine its distorting considering the bass setting is on 0 and the volume is on 20. This is on a standard Clio 182 stereo system.
Just wondering if anyone else...
Just curious really - I searched the forum and did a quick look on google but didnt really seem to see anything.
I am aware that the standard exhaust system tends to fail rather prematurely - the car has just over 10k miles on it, and already its showing signs of the "4k rpm noise"... how long...
When I got the Clio i was faced with the choice between it and a Fiesta ST (and also some other cars)... but to be honest, for the very reason Tonypop said, the Fiesta didnt even get a look in. If it had another 30 bhp then I would have looked more carefully at it - and yes I know if you modify...
Hi rob, no dont really go on there any more, no real point, as i dont have a skoda and have little more to add to what i've already said on there + i used to go for the NE meets but they havent exactly been very common lately either.
Cost of ownership isnt too bad to be honest. Insurance for...
Hi Rob, remember me? :D
The Octy will certainly feel quicker at lower revs, as it has the turbo to help out, the Clio needs to be thrashed to deliver really fast performance, but luckily i think the car feels alive and the power is quite linear, but i reckon its also got very good torque for a...
Another one who thinks it looks cack here.
And I disagree it would be a "HUGE" amount quicker than an RS Clio. The 0-60 times are virtually identical, theres only maybe a second (if that up to 100) and beyond that, who cares?
A BMW M3 is a "huge" amount quicker than a Clio, but the Focus...
I cant understand the complaining about the gearing in the clio. Its a hot hatch. Maybe i am just old school but always felt that 4000rpm at 80 was par for the course in a car geared for good acceleration.
Maybe you lot should buy a diesel - chip it and you'll be burning off M3s whiles sitting...
Its not so much the performance figures that disappoint me - in the real world theres not much difference to be fair...
But I would NOT hold your breath on this car handling better than the current ones. I've said it time and time again on this forum, despite the lack of any acknowledgement to...
I like the first gear as well. I have no problems with it - sure it took some getting used to, but once i did, its absolutely no problems.
Though i think some people treat the throttle as an on/off switch.
There must be something wrong with it then, because if I drive mine with intent, I absolutely muller a Mondeo TDCI and pretty much any standard VAG TDI.
Its only the chipped ones I have any trouble with and even then they are no faster (i can usually tell the chipped ones because of the...
With all that extra weight, I find that hard to believe. It'll be more safe, isolated feeling and lardy than the old one.
Apparently the newer bass models dont drive as well as the old base models, so I doubt this version will be any different.
It looks like a Micra. Which is what it is. And early roadtests suggest that while its still nicer to drive than some of its rivals, its not as enjoyable to drive as the old one. And how could it be? Bigger, heavier, and bloated.
Hmm, so the ST has "all the right things for a perfect FWD car" does it?
Nose heavy? Turbocharged? Heavy? Softly sprung?
Sorry, not convinced, even though it does seem to be trendy to empty ones balls over thoughts of that quite frankly fugly car at the moment.
I've checked the oil just now, its half way between the top and bottom mark on the dipstick.
Must have just been the way it was parked - it was at a funny angle like... but it does make you panic a bit when you see that and you arent anywhere convenient to get any oil!
I was at work today and went to a site where i had to park my car round the back of a building. It was sort of at an angle, similar to what it might be if you parked with say the left wheels on a very high kerb.
I just finished and when I turned on the ignition I got

OIL...
Surely the important thing is how it drives. The marginal power increase does not bother me, but i have a feeling the extra weight will makes it prescence felt in dulling the handling.
If the lower models are anything to go by, i've already read reviews stating the new one isnt quite as good...
LOL @ this thread.
Must admit, fair enough, if you want to modify go ahead. But making a car a clone of the RS model strikes me as a bit pointless. If you want to be individual, do something different, and that DOES NOT MEAN PUTTING LEXUS CLUSTERS THAT EVERY LAXXER DOES!!!
