A bell mouth - that's it. I think I once described a red one as looking like a prolapsed anus (you get sent some sick emails from time to time - that's my excuse:o )
If all goes to plan I'll have space in my car for two additional dials ie oil temp, fuel/air mix. What is worth fitting in a non-turbo car (172) and which are the easiest sensors to install.
Cheers in advance
PS I hope to get the car tuned (cam/manifold/remap) at GDi/Angelworks soon if that's...
The B&M one from K-Tec. You have to get under the car to fit it and the retaining clip was a real arse to get in and you are working around the exhaust pipe. It would be very tricky doing it with the car on a couple of track stands! Well worth spending out for an hours labour:o
Dink, cheers for that link. How many will I need to do all the instruments n the dash and centre consoles? Also, which of the red LEDs is best, as there are four types available?
Just got one, and I love it. Remember that you will need access to a ramp in order to fit it, or pay for an hour of an expert's time (Cheers Mike at Rentech).
Ha ha, had a niggling doubt after this thread so checked what the store had ordered - turned out to be the older 'S'. So now gone for the Goodyear GSD3 instead. Like someone said, it's the one thing that keeps you in contact with the road, so don't skimp on it.
The 'Sh*t shield', as I know it, is the piece of plastic that extends from the front wall of the front wheel arch along the underside of the body, towards the corner of the bumper, to which it attaches to. Mine's all split and I need a replacement. Anyone know it's correct name?

I was recently in the market for a set of tyres and was after either GSDs or PE2s, but the guy in the shop reckoned that the new Toyo T1R (if that's the newer one) was the stickiest. The others weren't offering more grip for the additional outlay. He runs Toyos all the time and he could have...
I've just bought some 16" OZ Super Ts with Toyo T1S tyres. Best deal I could find on the net was £640 + £25 delivery. Found them separate for £600, but with p+p and then someone to put the tyres on the rims (about £15-20 a corner) it wasn't worth it. So I rang my local wheel specialist South...
Mark - hence I shut up;)
But, won't there be less air flow in that position. Isn't the idea of a cold air feed to feed the best source of cold air, so an entrance in the front of the car would be preferred???
Without fully studying the airflow through an engine, that seems a remote spot to be taking air from ie one that would have warmer air? Also, won't the aluminium ducting heat up somewhat. Hmmm not enough to affect the air inside it I suppose - I'll shut up now:o :quiet:
For those that wanted to see some clearer pics. Delocking was £180 for those that asked.
Well I like it.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
nice and smooth
delocked hmmmmm
Both sides needed delocking. I haven't done the boot so that's my emergency entrance should the central locking fail. I believe you have to have handles but can be without locks for the MOT. Surely Mr Fireman isn't going to be too bothered about finding the right key to get me out, when he's...
