Possibly looking for replacement seats for my 172. Want something like second hand (will retrim) recaros from an Escort or similar. How easy is it to adapt subframes for seats not designed for the clio? Seen a clio with RS seats in PGTi mag, looks rather mint.

It's possible to wire it up so that you can still use the key. Check the Haynes Clio Modifying book, it shows you in there.

I have the same wheels and tyre size with an offset of et43 and they appear to be fine.

Hill Power and K-tec do some polished bits. You can take your own parts to a metal polisher too ie manifold cover. Other parts can be polished or anodised (coloured):)

I believe you can use brake caliper paint, as that's heat resistant.

Could try contacting your local 'cruise' people. There must be loads Essex way. There's a list in Fast Car I think. They'll have people who've done paint jobs on their cars and will recommend a good local bodyshop to get the quote.

Can't help feeling that the ideal solution for this problem is some form of bonnet vent - SHOCK HORROR. If it's done for a useful purpose, would that be more acceptable to the cliosport purists?
