i guess i could take it all off and take the bits round to an exhaust supplier to see if i can cobble something together from off-the-shelf bits - it's just a pain when you want to get on and have done with it. might do that at some stage once i've renewed it though, for future ref
that's the one.
can't see the numbers with that link, so here are some of them:
Focus Cooper Cup Impreza
30-50 3.4/6.0/10.7 5.0/6.8/9.6 4.3/5.7/8.3 3.8/7.1/13.4
50-70...
EVO recorded some in gear times. i think, in issue 48. it was pitched against a Cooper S, one of the Imprezas and a Focus RS (possibly one other)
can't be bothered looking in the loft ATM
hi,
i'm trying to source an aftermarket fitting kit (as title) and am wondering if anyone has found one - ?
tried GSF, ECP, CES, and a BOSAL dealer - all no good.
Renault want £40..

bro and i made do with Grandstand's Astrowars and Firefox until dad thought he'd buy a Spectrum (largely only because he thought he'd be able to learn basic and use it as some sort of.. 'personal computer'. the idiot). gaming commenced shortly afterwards. tape azimuth adjustment sucks.
happy days!
if it's not too far in, try that (knocking it round)
then, once you've got a couple of mm proud of the disc, either have a go with mole grips/pliers or (if it's still tight and that doesn't work) cut a slot in it with a hacksaw (wheel bolts are high tensile steel - should still be possible...
fair play taking it to a garage but have you got a piccie of it? if it's not tight and isn't recessed, you may be able to knock it round using a hammer and a small screwdriver..
was mainly thinking of the fact that, for an application like this, it'd have to be put in *dead* straight and the chances of you managing that (by anything other than luck - and whilst the hub is still on the car) is slim and not worth chancing (IMO)
besides, should hopefully be able to get...
it shouldn't be tight so you should be able to get it out of the drive flange with a little patience and ingenuity - ?
ps. don't try to knock it out (!!)
the trick of pulling the engine forward has certainly worked for me in the past but i guess it depends upon how shot your engine mounts are - worth a go before you spend any money, anyway
this is from KTEC Racing's site and shows the dog bone in position (with poly bushes)...
you'll need a new cat->system flange gasket, the two standard hangers (probably best to renew the rear one), and two clamps of *correct* size (don't use u-bolt clamps that are even slightly too big as you'll oval the pipes)
edit. and some copper grease/exhaust sealant
did you have a new rear mount fitted at the same time?
there are lots of things it could be hitting - need to get under it and see how much room it has to find the problem
they can be hard work in a road car - restrict your movement and all that; can you still reach the stereo?! can't beat being strapped in to a decent, supportive seat, though
you'll not damage the engine or anything but it'll likely be hellishly noisy and you run the risk of losing the rest of the system - it's only supported by a small rubber hanger in the middle of the car and will flap about. will likely also need to fit a new manifold->system kit once you've done...
Had this car a year now and, as some may have sensed, I’ve not been overly-happy with it. It came with a bunch of mechanical problems, not least of all being a gearbox problem that unexpectedly led to its expensive failure (on X-Mas eve!:dead: ).
It’s taken me some time to get the money...
