Bushes and suspension on the larger engines is harder for engine the 1.6 and dci use the super thick ARB as well.
As for are they an upgrade well personaly I'd always pay the extra and get a 172/182.
There nice though just a bit hardser setup more powerful 1.2.

It needs to be correctly straight after all your ABS system works of this if your wheel si at an angle when your going in a straight line then when you brakes the abs thinks your trying to turn.
As with most pads a hard bd in is needed.
Get the car to about 60mph then brake hard get the speed down to 10mpg then get back ot 60 and brake hard again do this a few times you might find the pedal goes soft its just the way. Then try not brake for a bit let the brakes cool down.

If its drums at the back the pistosn are dirt cheap £14 or so for the Locus £16 for the Bosh ones. Dead east to fit if you've the proepr 1mm brajke spanner. Only thing to remember si to chnage the shoes realy at the same time there the same sort of price to the piston though.
