Stock ECU can run it with a remap you need a 2 bar or so map sensor. A stand alone ECU has advanatges but it costs.

0-40 is fine its a bit thin for the Uk climate but protects down to silly low temps
5 weight oil protects down to -25 degress 0 wirhts is even more fluid at low temps.
The 40 grade is fine ideal in the Uk climate for Clios for road use.
You might fine the 0-40 oil does need topping up a bit...
Buy at a real discount the problems most likly a faily teethed ring maybe corroded or just loose you need to finf out its not that expensive to if though.
However it might be a faulty ABS unit which arn't cheap or easy to change.
