    You can just pull the fuse on the ABS system if you want. I wouldn't recomend it.

    Nop ecompression ratio is the amount of volume when the piston is at the bottom volume wise to how much there is hen its at the top there no was of fixing that with any amount of intakes or exhaust as I mentioned n my earlier post. 137 to 172hp won't happen with an exhaust the 172 engine has...

    £50 each they should be. Shock can be repalaced under warently even if you have aftermarket springs.

    Not very well cast. But its only a head its used in other cars etc. Get it ported etc and it juss like the rest of them if they were ported etc.

    The 172/182/197 aren't as fun driving cars as the Williams IMO the 197 etc all have other advantages.

    I think the trophy suspension worst than the normal one. Renault and all cpmpnaies have to chanage the market won't accept the same cars years after years you have to move on and accept chnages.

    Simple swop. One or two bolts don't match underneither from what I remember just drill in the plastic.

    You'd have to have realy worn mounts to realy damage bits. But yep with a worn mount the engine hits the subframe. Idealy adjsut the top mount (loosen the center bolt pull the engine forward as far as you can and retirqu the bolt to 44NM)

    As per this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=151502 48 for the 17 full fat 38.5 for the 172 Cup (although if you buy Renault Cup alloys even if there exactly but not from Renault you cannot get the same offset there 0.5mm different I forget which was I think its 38. 45...

    All of them are EFI in the F4R series Block different on the 172/182 engine vs the normal ones I think although I'm not sure.

    Are you using the normal ECU's? Why not if you need a new one go for something a bit expensive stand alone then more powers easier to map out? Stock turbo is it?

    Yep there orderable apparently never looked into it the system has them there though. Not cheap though £700 or so extra.

    I agree personally with D_0_4_7 for me the Wiliams is my favourite of the range the phase 1 172 being the next best one. However if I had to own one of them and do the miles I do and let family of wife or kiddies go round I'd have the 197 forget my driving excitment there more to the world...

    The new recaros are much better IMO as I fit in them. I wouldn't have a 197 unless it had them in it.

    Nope won't explaode did you chnage the ecu for the one in the doner car? Otherwie your engine overfueling massivly. You can turbo it though as I said for more power thna a normal 172/182 engine gets.

    Glad someoen sees the point and started a positive thread for the 197. Things chnage its not the same doesn't make it any better or worst just a change. If you prefere it then go for it.
