You can get uprated ones made better off used a Megan 225 type box should be good for 300NM unlike the 172 where 200NM was the limit plus its got 6 speeds only thing is you'd need to use the turbo bottom end although that wouldn't add much more to the cost. But by that time a VAG engine looks...
Fred there a few more been/beening done as we speak.
Rick I'll PM you the company involved. (if you want to know Fred just ask)
I'd stick with a normal engine unless your DIYing the job though personally.
Built to a price though but yep they take soem abuse.
2.0 175hp is the top spec one 400NM limited since the box won't with warently take any more.
2.2 is a 150HP one.
Would have to be quite level i've got a concrete floor int h garage so its quite accurate.
No difference with springs and dampers but unless you know what your doing just take it to a garage to check.
It advanaces to cam to ensrre better clyinder filling and so the engine can meke power over 65.k without a shape drop off in power.
Biggest thing is its something for the PR men to play with.
Thanks, had an email back from them they had stuck me on a 2meg connection. I'm litrally right outside the exchange I'm gettng the 8meg on a "priority job".
Light should come on at 5 liters but the fuel gaueg isn't the good hence why the digital milegae left don't work at that level.
When it comes on you have between about 3.5 and 5 liters but fuel stavage can happen driving upa hill etc you'll never drain all the fuel out.
Springs alone won't make a huge difference.
You can check it yourself with a few bit bit of string a level floor, a spirit level and a set of vernier calipers.
I agree with Loony use cpring compressore only after you've done a few you'll know what you need to do it without. Trying to save a fe quid just because someoen else who'd done it loads of time beford and knows how to do it says its ok isn't a good idea.
I'm sure a surgeon would say a liver...
I don't rate them very highty they just make the shift quicker its no better plus I found I wan't any quicker realy as I didn't rush the gearbox as it didn't like it.
They don't have 172/182 as can you imgaine the crashs people would have in them particualy as most insurers would have rules like no under 25's in them etc. Some dealerships have problem with them as they themsleves have to abide by rules like no under 25 to drive the 172/182 cars for insuracne...
Havn't you even slamed on the brakes in an emergency and though hey this would be fun if I just created a smoke screen with my tyres instead of slowing down.
120~125hp with an off the shelf remap (which is fine for a deisel unlike a petrol). More than enough torque infact would have to be limited usualy to stocp the clutch from slipping 270NM or so (172 has 200 or so)
Not a bad price realy need to see how bad the damage was. You can pikc ones with...
What about some dynamic wheel they always up on the forum now and again post in the wanted section someonw ill have a set can pick them up very cheaply.
