    As Dave said the carbon canisters are seeming to fail more in the cold and wet. Only cheapish to replace. The value is making the noise. £40 rings a bell for a new one.

    Check the pressures it will happen more in the wet weather as there less grip. Also if there less trea it doesn't help.

    Agree with Wilson big braeks look good but are a waste harder pads ie DS2500 on stock disk new lines etc are mich better and cheaper. 4 pots though are the king humm I loved mine.

    oil filter for mk2 172

    Just get a proper Renault one. I wouldn't ever risk it there a load of filters will fit but arn't correct so will do ore harm than good.

    54mm same as the phase 2 and the none cuped 182's Yep. Koni are one option but have had some problem leaking before now Bilstein do a set (they do a few sets the one your'd ant is the b" replacemtns) but IMO they arn't as good as stock.

    Same block realy yhtouh all the stuff should fit turbo etc just got the issue of high compression the Valvo engine doesn't haven. 1.8 16V or 2.0 is a better tunning option.

    Tyres companies make more money from the 185/55 so get companies to use them as people will buy them as replacements. 195/50 wear the rear ach liner away if you drive on the limit its only slight and onyl noticable for track days but Renault wouldn't accept that so toy fit it they'd needed to...

    There just less roll doesn't make it any better I'd argue I'd prefere 15's all the time smoother ride (cheaper tyres is also good). If the 16's were the be all then why do the race cars run 15's

    Forget it the cost arn't worthwhile unless you do it yourself and from what you've said you need to do a lot of reading up. Just stick a 172 engine etc in £1.5k +vat for the bits from Matt Black on here much more reliable and powerful.

    Bleeed the system. You won't motice as much difference on new cars even more so when the brakes arn't hot.

    Coilovers all round with the super low coilover rear spring setup that Fred had copied form his own car. There a set of the super low rear suspension for sale at the moment on the for sale area.

    You'll need to get them from Renault anyway they can find them tell them to do somehting. They arn't that bad I don't think price wise.

    In the Uk they did. You didn't need the ESP pack either from memory. Even dcis etc with ESP didn't get rear disks. Got my coloured mixxed up I knew something didn't sounds right I knew there were coloured two of the letters though.

    You could try ask them why your car has had so many problem. I've seen longer lists than that though its nothing huge IMO.

    They look just like the 1.2/1.4/1.6 petrols and the other dci's. The only difference is the rear disks which the 1.6 have anyway and the side badges which had blue DC letters from memory.

    I've used a reduser got it welded onto my exhaust pipe and put the back box into that. Demon Tweeks also sell the reducer pipes.
