As Dave said the carbon canisters are seeming to fail more in the cold and wet. Only cheapish to replace. The value is making the noise.
£40 rings a bell for a new one.
Agree with Wilson big braeks look good but are a waste harder pads ie DS2500 on stock disk new lines etc are mich better and cheaper.

Yep.
Koni are one option but have had some problem leaking before now
Bilstein do a set (they do a few sets the one your'd ant is the b" replacemtns) but IMO they arn't as good as stock.
Same block realy yhtouh all the stuff should fit turbo etc just got the issue of high compression the Valvo engine doesn't haven.
1.8 16V or 2.0 is a better tunning option.
Tyres companies make more money from the 185/55 so get companies to use them as people will buy them as replacements.

Coilovers all round with the super low coilover rear spring setup that Fred had copied form his own car.
There a set of the super low rear suspension for sale at the moment on the for sale area.
You cannot mix types of coolent (there two types but one isn't very comon I forget the names though) but so long as there the same type your OK.
Why not change all the coolent? Might as well

They look just like the 1.2/1.4/1.6 petrols and the other dci's. The only difference is the rear disks which the 1.6 have anyway and the side badges which had blue DC letters from memory.
Get it setup with normal toe in and depending how you drive it 0.5 to -1.5 degree negative camber (the bigger the camber the more the wheel are like this (viewed from the front

1) Ensure all windows are completely closed before locking the car
2) Ensure all air vents are closes and angled away from the sensors also...
If the red light doesn't go off when you tunr the key its means the imobiliser is still active. The most common problem is the transponder rignt which picks these signals up or the wiring to the plug are broken. Easy way to tell is to see if your other key has the same trouble if it does 995 of...
