The cage isn't a full race cage the proper ones are a maze of pipes I'm trying to find a picture.
The brake Bias valves is so you can adjust the pressure the rear brakes get on track you can adjust your braking for more or less rear end which will affect the car when braking. Nun ABS cars...
If you sell it you'll always regret it.
If you sell in parts then you'll find there a pain to sell.
If you keep it it for track days etc you'll find its not very eliabl even worse if you trailer it you'll only find problems when its at a track day.
You posted it Maz. It was in some topic you started about a track car wanted I couldn't find the original post I think Giles quoted your post though.
I wouldn't buy it Gaz suspension for a starter.
Thats not a racer Cup cage. Infact whey have they not used the connecitng bar on the cage...
Since it was a last run of the phase 1 172 there was quite a few late registered ones dealers had. ALso it didn't help people new the "better" newer phase 2 with the phase 2 new looks was due out so didn't buy the run out model.
Nope no Zeons zeons were never an option on that phase at all.
To have zeons for a starter legally when made it would need to have had washer jets. You might have had an aftermaket HID kit but not officialy zeons.
Not on the Mk2 it was deleted from the spec.
You could fit them but there no point realy. The brakes fluid reservior has a sensor on it which sets the light off when the level low which is supposed to show worn pads but when there serviced there often toped up. You can tell when there won though.
6 speed gearbox is possible in stock internals but its expensive with a LSD your looking at £3.5k.
You could get a used second hand sequenchial gearbox for that sort of money though.,
There no easy solution like the Pugs have though the 172 Cup and normal phase 2 have shorter ratios but...
It won't be idling at 500rpm its supposed to stabilse at 750 or so th rev counters not to accuate at low rpm so don't work off that you'd kno if you have a 500rpm revs.
New plugs sould like a good idea they can get dirty.
Also check your throttle body is clean as they can get dirty and cuse...
Could be the transponder ring as well as they fail abit its the bit round where the key goes.
Best way to tell is see if your other key works if it doesn't then try changing the ring.
I'd bet the fluid was worn as well which would have been the main cause.
Stock pads are very good on your car there the same as fitted to a 150hp homogologies rally car.
Thats silly money only a few minutes to change them yourself there not that expensive either new £32 each new from Renault. Ebay for £64 for the whole set of 4 new ones I belive.
You often only need to change one but you should chnage both sets ie 1 and 3/ 2 and 4 . I'd personaly change the...

How can it be a problem if you do motorway miles why do you use the clutch so much?
What coilovers are you using? Most setup have bigger hole in them so you don't need camber bolts.
You only need camber bolts if you have coilover which cannot be adjusted or you want to ajsuet the camber you already have and you've no adjustment.
Get youerself to another garage to do...
Nope unlikly more likly your wheels are catching abit on the arches.
I'd stick with stock personally as there fine realy. Only upgradr if you can fade the stock setup or there the same price IMO.
I've used the T1R on my WIlliams and Mk2 and I just didn't like them they were both in 15's though I tried a 182 with them on and it was a lot better but I didn't push the car to the edge.
