Ideal setup for quality and performance at fairly sensible prices IMHO is:
Koni adjustables with -35mm springs
Tarox G88 discs with Ferodo DS200 pads
Magnex cat back system and decat pipe
I just need the G88 discs once Ive worn out the Black Diamonds Ive got on at the moment
Well if anything, theory would suggest that the trans loss on a front wheel drive car should be even less - between 10 and 15%. But repeated testing of different cars on different roads, shows that 20% is about average for a Clio 16v.
The figures quoted are all at the wheels.
Some flips are mental - eg the one on a Honda at the last Southend meet - purple as it came towards you, the the whole thing changed to pink as it was alongside and orange as it went away.
Maybe thats too much though. I think if I was gonna go for a flip Id want something quite subtle -...
Those 19s might not help the performance but they look the nuts. Putting 18s on my Clio really didnt affect it that much except off the line acceleration which was blunted slightly. If anything they ride better than my 15s.
TB1- even though the scoobys power-to-weight is similar to the Clio Cup, which does even up the playing field a bit, the main advantage it has is 4wd. As proved in my race against an RB5. It was very quick off the line, a bit of tyre squeal then it dug in and went, but once youre rolling thats...

Simons pretty much explained it. The system itself will cost the same whatever jets you run, but you can run it as a single hit system on 50 jets, exactly the same as I had at first, last year.
Its good fun but ultimately, gets to be a hassle having to watch the revs and not flick the switch...
K-Tec Racing and BB Tuning have just started getting serious with Clios and Hill POwer have always been at it. You need to contact any of these to see if they have what you need. Of the three, Id say contact Hill Power because hes worked on Energy engines before, whereas at the moment K-Tec and...
Gotta agree with P-head - the rev limiter is there for a reason, ok there is a big safety margin built into the limit, so say the limit is at 7k, you could probably run it safely at 8k. But the thing is, it depends what kind of a driver you are. If, without any further mods, youre hoping to rag...

Hmmm, yes I always had heard that they were illegal to use, but thinking about Im beginning to wonder...
AFAIK the legal requirement is for the number plate to be visible by the naked eye from a certain distance at street level, and for the lettering to conform to spacing and typeface...
Yes it does work and you get a lot of popping out the exhaust because of the increased heat staying in the system.
If there is one problem with heat wrapping, Id say you only see a very marginal performance increase, and your manifold and downpipe will run *very* hot - so hot that with a ten...
