Best get a garage to do it as the easiest way to do it is to drob the subframe and bring it our and replace if from the bottom.
You need a Cat pipe making up to fit.
It measured torque at the wheel and knowing engine rpm from either the operator taking the reading off the rev counter or connecting to the TDC sensor he knows the hp, as Hp is a product of rpm and torque. They then use whatever calc to work out hp at the fly.

It will be a tensioner not the alternator.
have u had the cambelt chnaged if so maybe it wasn't done right if not then having it done they chnage the tensioners and its rid of the problem.

Yep £10k looks a decient guess you'd be better using it as parts bin use a normal shell and buy the other panels or fix/bodge the old ones or make a wide aches V6 without the bodykit for a laugh.
