Renault will only realy replace them if they leak, I've tried a few times (there are ways round this but not honest ways).
There bound to die over time mine are going at 70k but that not bad with the stock I give it and its still usable for another 70k.

The Clio has one as standard it cannot be removed realy as its inbuilt into the ECU, so you won't get a discount as there. Also under law all new cars sold in the last few years have to have one. UK 182's which are imports have to have one fitted for most companies to insure you.
There are sticklied just no one ever reads them.

Sounds like they've been turned off its easy to switch back on.
Turn the key so the lights come on and keep your finger on the central locking button for a few seconds until it beeps then the auto locking will come back on.
Thats one of the USA Golfs from the looks plus its got a Rocket chip so its most likly thr 90hp engine which some Americans love to tune up so it could have anywhere between 110 and 220hp there so much upgrade stuff avialiable.

If your happy with stock ones and unless you track very hard (only track that ever killed mine was Bedford) then get the Ferrdo FDB845 pads from Halfords £17 they are standard spec find with some decinet fluid.
£6k list price but that should inclusde all you need but there a lot of bits the ignition cut and the shafts arn't normally with boxes when you find them for sale.
£9k not a bad price I've seen them cheaper though.
