Diesel has more power per liter than petrol (one of the reason for better MPG). Problem is the fact engines need to rev to get power diesels are limited to ~4k due to there heavy moving parts weight.
Also diesels are underfueled as standard its like running a petrol on 60% the fuel it should...
It wont work ever. CAD is useless the real world the real world isnt computer generated. I work with some of the best and expensive stuff on the planet and it still doesnt fix development problems.
I should recomend the disel but unfortunatly I cannot.
The only reason to swop is the better MPG and the bigger car.
The Cup isnt to bad realy space wise and how often youd use the extra space is questionable in my view.
I dont understand though how you think its yor car +£5k for a mondeo...
Id like to see if I could get better mpg with an 80dci I was originally going to get the 80 as it was the same price as my 65dci due to the extras I had added on.
Do you think your bigger tyres do anything to affect the MPG?
Its a phase 2 the phase two cars have triangular lights. The garag should know the difference Id go elsewhere if they didnt personally.
The engine detials plate is down the front of the front of the engine below the injector cover.
Id be very worried if it wasnt there did you buy the car...
Why not buy a cheap spare and stick it in the boot?
I dont think they come out to recover you unless the tyre foam hasnt worked ie sidewall tire damage. Even then they can be awquard.
After getting realy bored I tried to max out 30mph in 5th on a long bit of road I got over 100mpg but exactly how much I didnt know my guess is 120~130 but that wasnt good for the car (wasnt my car).
I get bored driving and getting 80mpg end up going back to my 55~60mpg everywhere ways.
Which service the 18k is about £100 to £150 the 36k from £150 to £300 ring round a few more dealers to get a better price.
Id recoment you did go with Renault so long as its reasonably cheap as they update the software etc.
its a dci65 or dci80 but they give 70 and 85hp after being run it.
0-60 of the 65 is about 13.7 seconds and the 80 is 11.7 (I think)
Top speed is 100 and 105 mph. (these figures arnt made up or my own guesses but a diesel car magazines ones).
But as people will say its in gear there faster...
It guesses based on your speed, your last known position and direction, most tunnels are a stright run from the outside road so it accuate enough.
The trip computer does the same if it looses it fuel flow then it guesses the fuel flow for the next few miles.
Id say £6k is a good deal.
The more you pay the more money you will loose on a car so Id recomend against buying a 182 unless you can get an excellent deal.
15k on a 172 engine is nothing there strong, 15k is just beded in.
The Cup engine is likly to have other problems.
The bits are a straight swop even just remember that the Mk2 Clios have electric throttles etc but the bits your modyifying are the same.
They probably dont care the 1762 has been and gone Cup meant nothing before the 172 Cup made it what it has a repuation as.
The new ones called Team I belive but its bound to be called Cup on here.
Im sure the ABS can be "fixed". Unfortunatly the 172 Cup is the last of the none ABS cars from...
Silver. But it doesnt look as good when you have polished it as black but never looks as dirty.
Black looks good when its clean but gets terriably dirty quick and shows the scratch up.
Forget it Renault like being difficult most units dont work.
If you fancy having a go with a soldering iron you could give it a go to make your own wire up but otherwise forget it.
Get a different head unit or a proper Renault CD changer have a look on the for sale area people have them for...
