lol @ keeping up with other 172s until 70, my ph1 hits nearly 70 in 2nd gear! from a rolling start thats like a 5 second blast!
mine pulls to 140 pretty quickly then starts to tick up one at a time every 10 seconds lol

clutch bite is high as standard, struggling to get into gear is most likely a worn engine mount, my guess being the lower one (do you have loads of movement in the gearstick when coming on and off throttle?)
