I've seen that you must use plenty of lubrication . I'm going to use a bucket with shampoo mix for dipping the mitt in and maybe as an additional safeguard spritz with some QD if needs be , just using quite light pressure .
I don't know if anybodies posted anything about these on here ? Just a bit of a headsup . Halfords are doing 3 for 2 offer on cleaning products so picked 3 of these up today for £25.98 ( £8.66 each ) . They seem to get some good reviews on detailing world ...
I really enjoyed your video Craig . It was really well put together. You said and showed just how it is owning and driving a 182 , well done  . I wish we had a road like that round here . Unfortunately all the roads round here , town and country are full of either potholes , gatsos or mobile...
You used to be able to buy the pedal covers , they were about £34 for a set of 3 from Renault. Sod paying that :frowning: When my brake and clutch pedal became badly worn I made some new ones. A couple of quid for some aluminium off ebay , a few pop rivets and Bobs your Uncle . Good luck...
Yeah that will fit . Its got the flange on one end and olive joint on the other , same as the original Cat. But to be honest mate . If you're looking for some sort of gain in power you're wasting your time and money . I ran a decat on mine and it did bugger all other than make my Yozza exhaust...
Welcome to CS mate . Your 182 looks in good condition . You just need to get your exhaust sorted out now , it's out of line . Common fault with them as the exhaust hangers aren't really up to the job . If you do a search on here , you'll see a couple of different ideas to fix that problem .
Lmao at discs don't warp . I've had warped discs , many moons ago . There was no pad material build up , you could physically see the disc was running out of true when you span the wheel round .
I've seen people have problems with the standard alarms before . I'm not sure if there is a guide somewhere ? Or maybe if you have search about swapping the wires over for the sensors inside the car to make it less sensitive . I've definitely seen this talked about before as a cure for false...
Has it ever had a bonnet switch ? Mines an Import so had no alarm fitted as standard . I have an aftermarket Toad alarm which doesn't have a bonnet switch . Does yours have the little red led down next to the gear stick ? Thats where they put them when they fitted the alarms .
Imports didn't have an alarm fitted , they also didn't have locking wheel nuts as standard . But don't worry if yours is an import . They are exactly the same car , same spec , made in the same factory . Just minus the alarm and locking wheel nuts . They're not the same as Grey Imports which...
The Gold looks ok ish , all the other colours look s**t . If it were me I'd stick with anthracite or a similar colour . What about BMW sparkling grey ? It's slightly darker than anthracite or even sparkling bronze ...
My Dads mate used to have a Red one back in the ahem 70's ( showing my age now lol ) It was absolutely stunning . It was my dream car back then , as well as the Mk1 Capri GT , he had one of those as well .
35w . Just click on this link and it will take you to the ones you want . Then just choose the colour temp . Like I said above . I went for 5000k , oem are 4300k . Higher the number the light gets more blue .

I'm no mechanic . But from what I've learnt off here , to get any serious power gains you have to throw serious money at these Clios . I had a 172 , brand new out of the box , same as my 182 and there was absolutely nothing in it , 10bhp means sod all in the real world , they're just numbers ...
I thought about it ages ago . Then reading on here over the years I'm not sure you really see any beneficial gains . You'll get some people who swear you do , you'll get some who swear you don't . Have a bit of search on here and see what you come up with . It seems like things become popular...
I thought about a gloss black , with a Matt lacquer , then I thought about a very dark grey metallic but couldn't find one I liked . Then i gave up thinking cos I had other things to do lol . Mine are primed and ready for a colour coat , its just having time .
Nice one . What colour are you going for ? I was trying to find something to match or something close as the originals . But I've been a bit busy so put this little project on the back burner for now . It'll be good to see some pics when you've finished.
@Kchristmas . It leaves the bare plastic...
I have the 5000k from hids-direct . They're slightly whiter than the oem 4300k without being blue and I actually think they're brighter , better visibility than the 4300k bulbs . I've also been using these 7 led sidelights , had them in about 2 years now and still going strong . They might not...
Yeah , takes only a couple of mins . Just disconnect the pipes , push the old ones out from under the bonnet , then push the new ones in . I just used some pliers to push mine out , gently grip the old washer jets then push .
I left them soaking overnight . The rubber coating just fell off . I only primed mine , haven't got round to finding the right colour I want to paint them .
Make sure all the residue is off , wash them in hot soapy water then dry them . Then wipe them down with some IPA to remove any grease , give them a light sanding down with some 1000 grit wet n dry to help the plastic primer key . Then spray with what ever colour coat you want , keeping the...
If the mechanism is that badly rusted it'll probably need replacing . Just soak it for now and see how you get on . I hope it doesn't stick with the bonnet closed . I've seen alot of people who've had that problem too .
