nope, it's not a breather, it's actually a vacuum take off for the carbon canister
Andy, I've painted plenty of engines in normal paint and they cope fine
that's a good simplified way to put it really. There's plenty more detail you can go into like the distance of the airbox from the trumpets, total volume of the box, total runner length.....the list goes on
not at all unusual for there to be cutting oils still on the metal from when the exhaust was made. There's also very likely condensation in the sound deadening within the boxes which will take a bit of heat to clear
the distance of the throttle butterfly/s from the valve would be the greatest difference. ITBs having the butterfly closer can give faster throttle response. More torque and more power lowe from ITBs in almost every instance too
clean with wheel acid, etch prime, then paint as normal. If you use VHT paint then skip the primer as it reacts and never goes hard (been there, done that lol)
it's just possible (and i do mean JUST) with 421s IMO, but it wont idle well at all on FBW unless you have some faster control of it than the stock ecu, and that pushes the cost towards ITB levels. tricky choice
it can't be done. all you can do is data log and make changes, upload and see what effect the changes have made. Changes under load-holding cannot be made, the ecu just doesn't work in that way
i heard this for the first time the other day. Apparently they've been phasing it in since 2007......
Makes sense really. a 6 litre v12 jag was grp 21a in 1995, and there's plenty of supercars that are massively faster and more valuable than that now. They needed a broader spectrum. Going to be...
that's a really tricky one as i know that willy is a very good example, but i do love a nice ph1. I think in this case the willy is a better example, but in general a really good 172 is a better daily drive
if it was melted it will have been a big restriction so acting as a silencer. New one should be flowing a lot more freely so it will be louder. Does sound like its pretty crap though

still munches the cover though, and they're over £200 a pop. Pointless waste of parts when a more freindly to use item will do the job just as well and last longer
clio flywheel seems harder than the 200sx one i'm refering to, but the last helix cover i saw with about 10k on it was pretty munched. There's no need for them anyway, stronger clamping cover will increased torque handling, and with NA you'll never have huge torque. My RPS organic clutch on my...
Latest fad. couple of people have one break and do some scare mongering. Bit like water pumps a couple of years ago. I think i've only ever had to change 4 and that's from over 200 cambelt changes, and they were all rattling like crazy before i saw the car. Never had one develop a fault after a...
