keeping VVT control gives you fairly noticable benefits. Switching vvt back off at the right point in the upper rev range can make a big difference to torque and bhp
I think you're approaching the issue with a little too much paranoia in honesty, not helped by a fair amount of scare-mongering...
as standard they're a 10mm hex, flange nut on an M8 thread. Standard nut size for M8 is a 13mm hex so occasionally they're replaced with those
A lot of the time theres a lot of rust and dirt in the holes so a bit of a clean out can help loads. Sometimes people hold the nuts in the socket with...
I prefer the k-tec ones by a very small margin to the ASTs. Both are as good, but slightly different. Old Comp-brake are junk they simply didn't even come close to fitting, though i think they might be making the k-tec ones now, as i saw a set last week with comp-brake engraved, but were...

I still did a non-PAS conversion on my mk1 though. Hardening the f**k up FTW

Yours shouldn't be like...
Bought a 200sx with a mate from that salvage yard once. Was stolen recovered so went to see it as the said it had no keys and was drained of fluid so wouldn't run etc. got there and made a silly offer and it took them 2 minutes to find the keys. We then had it running in the rack for half an...
Oh sorry, you have the jenvey manifold for the megane head (picture wasn't working for me) That's a different matter as far as modification to fit goes. I've never used one of those personally so i'm not totally sure where it would foul, and the only times i've seen it used the power steering...
