sometimes the old addage of, "if it aint broke, dont fix it" really does apply. I'm yet to see an F4R actually NEED a water pump changed. They must fail sometimes, but i've not seen it happen
water pumps are funny. i've had all kinds go wrong, plastic impellars shearing (just say no to plastic!!!), bearings seizing, and a housing shattered and sent a viscous fan through a rad

Gaskets, on an F4R, Victor Reinz gaskets for anything, but Renault are slightly cheaper so genuine
pattern part quality varies. some are as good if not better than genuine, and some are made of cheese. You just have to pick and choose. I mostly know what pattern parts I'll use and what i wont
They've never sold in huge quantitys so most dont know what they're like, but the Piper 182 system is THE best off the shelf system I've ever fitted on a clio (I've fitted most of the different ones) The 172 system doesn't fit quite so perfectly but the 182 one is the nuts
