Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
yeah kind of. Boost is just a measurement of restriction at the end of the day. It tells you how much air the engine can't use. If the boost is dropping but the power isn't it just means that engine is working more efficiently and using what is't being...

compressor efficiency. There comes a point where the turbo can only flow so much air. you can tune some of it out with electronic boost control, which holds the wastegate shut longer if properly setup. Remember though, boost isn't directly related...
182 exhaust fill up with water just from the condensation (i've taken them off with loads sloshing about). I doubt you'll get it out by just driving.
For future reference, LOTS of revs to go thorugh deep water
the mounts in the ebay link look right, but there are a couple that look similar so can't say 100%. you need 2 of them, and it's a good idea to re-enforce the mount as they will sag again in a few months
i have a spider lump (willy block with megane head basically) with proper lairy cams and omex. Made 184 before i put the willy manifold and non fucked exhaust on, should make a bit more now once the map is tweaked. Brainstorming how to break 200 without big cost.....
you will love a valver. Contrary to some belief, you dont need mega power to have fun. Power IS fun, but it's not the only way to have fun. I love my 2.0 mk1
not if it's a solid mount ;)
did you say it is compbrake top mounts? if so, change them, junk, tat, not worth their weight in scrap.
not unusual to get a twang sometimes as the spring relaxes
it is Danlp6. They're Honda throttle bodies off ebay that have been re-machined to fit. Trouble is they dont have injector holes on the right side of the butterflys
it's highly likely to be a broken clip. Very common problem which can be sorted with a £3 clip and 30-45 minutes work to clean up and re-grease. It's common practice to use a jubilee clip too as cable ties cannot be done tight enough for the plastic (not soft rubber) boot
why would you downgrade so much?
Fueling should be easy, Lambda sensors take care of things a lot as long as you're close, within trim range, and the target map is correct. Anything that's very rich I'd be suspicious of the lambda sensor or the wiring to it
