it's not twin VVT, it's constantly variable angle, rather than switched between 2 positions, having the control makes a big difference to torque. You also have coil on plug so you can run fully sequential ignition with a 710, rather than converting to a wasted spark setp
fixing a banger is far different from spending money on your hobby to give you enjoyment and give you something you want. I hate new cars, they make me want to die. But i should have one cos they're "better"???? give me a break
v-maxx piss on FKs. Dont like H&R personally, but they're not s**t. AST are proper. KWs are really nice very well made and would be a close second to AST for me due to the adjustability.
sounds like he already has prolines
If the shocks are leaking, go for coilovers. Try to get a ride in a car first though. I think the ride's nice but might not be for you
have to gather a little more info really ;) Is the standard setup past it's best? if the shocks are getting tired, then v-maxx are a good option. You need to go in a car with a set fitted and see if you like the ride really, as it's mostly a road car
Mk5 golf GTI is a long way from a performance car. it's a nice modern car, with some sporty looking bits, and a badge. It's not fast in any way, and they weigh about 6 tonnes.
I could have had modern cars many times, but they have no character
in these circumstances "better" normally means newer, from the perspective of the person saying it. Typical of someone with little knowledge or enthusiasm for more than having a status symbol really.
A civic Type-R is the only car i can think of that rivalled the Clio when they were both new...
got to be a ph1 172 for me, then if you want it stripped, just remove what you dont want. Cup only has handling benefits when you compare standard to standard IMO
i dont know of an engine in a car that doesn't have an aux belt. You'd struggle to drive the alternator without one for a start, and that's on the most very basic of engines
sounds a bit pricey to me, but if it's a good one, it might be worth it. Negotiate the price down and remember its going to need a cambelt pretty soon despite the mileage (guessing a 54 reg??)
the ph1 is the better engine for getting power out of unless you plan on fully modified internals. As a stock internals engine, they make more with identical mods, every single time. I've done direct comparison with just cams, just ITBs, ITBs and cams, supercharged, and the ph1 always makes more...
of course they're "real" throttle bodies. You run 1 butterfly per cylinder. The SR20 in the pulsar and the RB26DETT in the skyline GTR have them as standard
