Pre and post cat lambda the same?

yes, one is slightly shorter. I've swapped them to get someone out of trouble in a hurry before

    High Revs!!!!

sounds FAR to much like an air leak to not be IMO

    timing belt snapped?

but it's only a £20 belt FFS and it was off to change the cambelt!!!!!!, and now it will cost you what? £65-£80 inc labour. w**kers. Complain. LOTS

    timing belt snapped?

If you look under his name, it says 1.6 16v ;) You wont get an F4R for that money in decent working condition. I think it's worth repairing rather than just swapping out the engine personally

    timing belt snapped?

They did all that and didn't fit a new aux belt while they were there?????

    Civic Type R Engine !!

Sadly, the K20 is extremely good (never been a fan of v-tec). Completely stock internals engine with a Rotrex C30-94 at 0.8bar made 310bhp. It would have done more easliy. Andy Mapped a modified N/A K20 in an elise and it made 277bhp with more to come if he raised the limiter

    Aux Belt issues

the tensioner can be REALLY awkward sometimes. You have to get the belt down one side of the tensioner pulley before fully de-tensioning, or it wont slip on unless you're very very lucky

2 types of inlets!!!? ...not happy!

there's stil a hole in the plenum for it, though it's missing from the breather cover. It's a vacuum takeoff for the carbon canister BTW ;) The 182 has an extra metal pipe next to the servo vacuum takeoff for the carbon canister pipe to clip on to

2 types of inlets!!!? ...not happy!

sounds like you've got them for a 182

    Oh Dear!!

Could have worked if the roof hadn't been done too. Less is more!!!!

Cam and aux belt parts prices

the importance of using Gates is over blown. They're very good, but they're not the only OEM supplier of cambelts through-out the industry. I'm sure Continental (being a HUGE manufacturer) will be totally fine

He'd struggle TBF. Beadle died about 5 years ago

    Rear brake set up recommendations?

standard. You'll get more benefit from rebuilding or replacing the calipers for new than from upgraded disks and pads

Engine help-Restarting an engine that has been sat for months

In addition, i'd remove the spark plugs and put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder before cranking it over, and leave the plugs out while cranking

    locking tools

Renault for the cambelt locking tools. Dont expect them to know what ones you want though, took me over an hour to get the right ones ordered the other day. Dont buy the renault aux belt tool, it's pisch, some use a 1/4 drive ratchet with a 3/8 converter socket, i made my own special tool.

    197 Engine conversion

There's actually more for the K4M than you'd think, and there's even more that can be modified to fit with a bit of lateral thinking. old shape Twingo with k4m conversion, running bike throttle bodies on a "not great" bogg brothers manifold, "interesting" downpipe, and completely stock...

    Fitted my Yoz today.

I use fireseal as threadlock on turbos where locktite is useless, but that's all i'd bother with using it for. Exhausts get billy'd up

    How to Fit 6x9s

yeah job one with 6x9s is file them neatly under B1N

Top Mounts - Ktec vs Compbrake vs AST

I'd rather fix the pivotal point and do the setup intentionally than rely on how worn the rubber is personally ;)

    How do i install a shift light on a Ph2 172 Clio ?

that is variable on how the RPM was measured though, most RR days are done just using a wheel speed to RPM conversion rather than connecting to the coil. Wheelspeed relies on a calculation which can be out by an increasing amount as RPM rises.
  23. S

How do you fit a 182 exhaust?

once the axle is dropped, you should be able to turn the exhaust RIGHT round (180 degrees) and it will slide out and just about clear the bumper

    Custom HT Leads

Magnecor. Very good custom leads service, and their quality is probably the best going too
  25. S

Top Mounts - Ktec vs Compbrake vs AST

so it's OK to change EVERYTHING else and totally change the geometry, but renault know best about this???
  26. S

Top Mounts - Ktec vs Compbrake vs AST

spherical bearing. Only opinion i'll give is that the comp-brake ones dont locate properly as they're too small for the hole, and have NASTY rubber gaskets and o-rings, which make them not actually solid, and they wont stay where you put them :S

    Forge or K-Tec

k-tec one looks like a forge diaphram type to me. I may be mistaken though. I've driven the k-tec twingo, and that certainly isn't quiet (Paul and Paris called me a chav for making it dump constantly through the tunnel at rockingham)
