Okay so it looks like the sensor is having a bit of a fit then as the cat can't be faulty....it's a Janspeed sports cat and has only been on the car for six months or so.
Shall I just unplug the sensor and hope for the best come mot time?
Some guy bashed into the back of my 172 at the weekend:(
I'm now driving around in a Peugeot 307 cc courtesy car.......my girlfriend (who is a hairdresser) love it to bits.
That says it all really lol
Mine is okay but I know it's only a matter of time before it gets scuffed up.
Good thing is I've now got the holes drilled and know how to take the bumper off so fitting another will be easy:D
That's what I wanted to hear really.....I was just concerned that the light being on would affect the emissions test at the mot.
I hear everyone going on about unplugging the second sensor because 'it doesn't do anything' but whay is it there then.....surely it must have a use?
They don't look to be 100% carbon fiber....the carbon lay is only used on the front (visible) sections..the rest looks to be just glass fibre.
I haven't had any problems with mine yet but I imagine the chipping is probaby just the resin/laquer used on the surface..not much you can really do...
Has anyone with a sports cat put their car through an mot with this light on...what were the results?
TBH I'm not fussed about the light being on..I think the time to fix that will be when it's time to sell up and I have the original cat to change back to then anyway.
Driving down to Cornwall on Friday the emisions light finally made an appearance (Janspeed sports cat fitted)......carried on driving and all seemed okay with no loss of power and good MPG.
I'm not fussed about the light being on but with my MOT due towards the end of the month what I am...
Tints look good but don't go to dark otherwise it'll look silly.
If your having them done professionally they ahould be able to take you through all the different percentages of tint to give you an idea of what it'll look like
Check your rad hoses and under the bottom
Best thing to do is to park the car up and leave paper or material under the car...this will show any leaks/dripping coming from underneath.
If that doesn't show anything up it may be worth investigating the head gasket
Yeah...I think if he's just passed your looking more at 2k
I personally reckon that's a bit of a waste of money..better off getting a 1.2 or something for a year or two to build up the no claims
