I would have thought 100k would be doddle for the 172/182 if serviced/looked after well. My old 19 16v had nearly 100k on the clock and it never missed a beat. As for my 172...well, it's just coming up to 15k so has a long, long way to go!

Open filters are a no-no...period. Lots of nice noises under the bonnet but also lots of heatsoak.
