I have a spider engine that came out of my RSI. Made 185bhp on throttle bodies a week before I took it off the road so it's still strong. Also got a set of SPAX coilovers, made for a R5 gtt, but adapted with genuine spax parts to fit. Megane exhaust manifold (far better than the williams or...
well I can tell you from experience that 421s are best for standard compression, but not otherwise. I've dyno'd 2 cars with near identical spec apart from one being high comp (so both on 421s) and the high comp car made 4bhp more. changed to 422s roughly another 20bhp was freed up.
there's a...
that's how the breather system works. Excess breather gases are re-directed into the inlet tract rather than into the atmosphere. 2 primary reasons being to reduce the engine smell in the cabin, and to burn the vapours which is more environmentally friendly. The downside of a system like this is...
my pretty highly modded 172 was showing 41mpg on a trip back from dorset a couple of weeks ago, driving sensibly. A standard 197 will struggle to break 30mpg no matter how you drive it. 25% is a pretty big difference, especially when you consider a megane 225 will do the same mpg as the clio and...
makes it awkward as you change the angle the bolt goes in, but it's fairly normal to have to bod that bit on very low cars. I'm not running that low particularly, but my bumper isn't held on by those bolts anyway. it clips in quite positively.
compare that to equivalent 172/182 costs though
One that sticks out for me is if a lower balljoint goes you need a new arm and these are £221 each. Balljoint on a 182 is under £20
right...so "the piece of rubber"
you mean the inner CV boot on the near side? 3 bolt attaching it to the gearbox. That is the part number you've posted above
that is coming up as a Driveshaft gaiter. Basically a CV boot.
When you say inner seal, what do you mean? there's very little available for driveshafts, most of the time you need a new shaft
