We packed these in my Familys factory (I was too young to work there at the time ;) )
Had every version go through our house over a few years and I still have my +3 in a box
Same old chinese made crap I always got stuck with fitting on 200sx's as it was "cheap"
Never had a manifold, turbo elbow, downpipe of full exhaust that didn't hit the chassis, crack or just generally sit not even close.
Crap
Tried the new Ktec induction the other day. Made over 7bhp difference from a ph1 airbox, and an average of 5bhp over the entire rev range. Also tried a maxogen and it gained slightly less
can see in the 2nd pic that the sleeve has moved despite the weld (which is nowhere near enough btw)
the sleeves are chewing up the bushes as they're moving around (IMO)
197 is expensive as the slave cylinder/release bearing must be replaced every time the box is removed and that part alone is ~£100
You're looking at £600
well remember that the rears sit in a different position to standard, so the leverage is different meaning that the spring rate is different. Burpspeed car is about 50/55Nm rear in the same position (well, was, they're running progressive's now)
28 point damping adjustment gives plenty of scope...
2 options IMO. K-tec (design was my idea, and executed by a former colleage who's a CAD genius) or AST's if you want the built in ability to add castor (but they have a really crap design flaw with the top nut and they get damaged by just tightening it)
well they're a track pad, so they're not compromised. You can always mod them to fit in with the stock shims I guess. 1144's come with a stick on anti-squeel backing (or they used to, not fitted any in over a year) but they're a road pad. 1166's are in a different league for noise, but they stop...
there's a lot more to change than just the main fuel and ignition tables, and there's far more to any mod than just a peak number. I think you'd be surprised
£985, with mapping optional. Have to see what the owner thinks of this one and what it makes on his local rollers compared to the before result first. They're a way off 438s though
Re: yokohama parada??? any gd
I agree fully, I'm stunned by the way some people drive with no extra care in the wet
Did 200 odd miles in a 172 with Federal 595 RSR's on in disgraceful rain and they performed faultlessly. Safest I've felt on the motorway in the wet, in a clio, ever.
