had the same issue with selling a number of products. Despite knowing things are superior and believing in them strongly, people would rather believe 3rd hand repeated information. Bit sad really, they miss out on a lot
it's not intrinsic to open cone filters, it's oiled filters in general. The oil coats the hot wire and causes incorrect air flow signals. The sensor will work fine again once cleaned with a residue free solvent
first off, "top cam".............WTF is a top cam????
the guy selling clearly knows very little so disregard whatever he's said and get someone knowledgeable to gave a look at the car in person for you
you would need to check with your dealer. It can be down to the dealers discretion, whether the modification has any bearing on a fault if it develops. For instance an exhaust wouldn't effect the gearbox, but technically you've changed the car.
I've done a PAS pump and full aux kit in under 2 hours. YOu need to take it somewhere that knows what they're talking about. This is why independent specialists exist
Permanently fitted tow eyes, is your car broken THAT often?
Anything that makes simple maintenance jobs harder like crappy air filters with 9 brackets attached to everything
thats lower oil usage than renault say is acceptable for a new car. To judge how good or bad it is in your case would depend how you drive really. Thrashing the engine causes higher oil usage. Also worth investigating for leaks (most commonly the rocker cover, or the sump gasket)
hence the tone of the post that 5w40 is the "correct" grade. I didn't say panic and change it did I?
a 0w in going to be similar in winter to what a 5w is in summer
Can go to 84mm bore from 82.7mm. Done loads of them. Seems to be around 5bhp difference between stock size bores on high comp and oversized. Worth boring out if you're already buying forged pistons, but not otherwise
oh I fuly understand that, just think it would be more fruitful to be able to check that faults are corrected first rather than keep switching the light off
You don't need clip! That's a ridiculous thing to even mention, thousands of pounds! however the 40 quid code readers are total toss and give no live data which you need to be able to fault find. Code readers tell you maybe 20% if you're lucky.
