Pauls cup that's always given a very respectable 42mpg, has just improved to 44.6 averaged over the last 3 tanks since we've applied one of our new remaps.
27 is very very low, my volvo 850 T5 isn't much different to that
no. Every kit I've fitted has re-enforced the mounting. I've seen 2 fail, both on track. One even pulled the 2 long studs from the head out. I demonstrated the amount of flex to Jay and Tony, they promptly cut up a standard lower inlet to get the standard bolting points back
if you have a look...
you were told wrong. there's a lot of strength lost by running like this. you can see the cambelt cover bend just by pulling on the engine by hand, imagine what happens under acceleration
Should be able to have a word with spax about getting you some to match the rear. They definitely still do them as they're effectively the same as are included in the cheaper version of our coilovers
EFA ;)
Piper systems are beautiful. It's what i'd choose. If you want something quieter still, the janspeed systems are really nice, I fit a fair number of these now. Those are the 2 that we supply and fit for 182's by choice
what on earth are you goin on about? just stop typing ;)
2 out of the 3 I've done bolted straight on, with a pipe blocked off. One needed a small corner cutting out with a hacksaw
K20A is a fantastic engine. I've worked on a few Elise/Exige conversions, a couple of which are SC'd. It's not an easy job and the cheaper kits available are a bit rough around the edges to say the least. 300bhp+ available without opening the engine is very attractive though, and that's reliable...
the brakes thing is most likely refering to the electic handbrake. Some other diagnostics systems allow you to deactivate this, but it can be done by just running the engine while you wind the pistons back. Not surprised Renault told you they're the only ones who can do it tbh.
you know you can use anywhere that uses genuine parts don't you? ELF oil (which we sell and have on offer currently) is what renault use, top quality, and not expensive
I've fitted a lot of Eibachs. A surprising number of people have commented that they just didn't notice the difference from standard and wanted something lower.
not quite true actually. You can get a 182 plenum to fit a 172 engine quite easily. A 172 plenum however will not fit a 182 without a lot more work
I've done it 3 times now. Although one did need a small piece cutting off the plenum
