    Those EGR's are a pain in the arse to change. ive also had it where the wiring chaffed on the engine going to the egr iirc.

    7800 is a group n. mines being set to 7400. as Renaultsport themselves say the pistons fail over 7200...

    gave up putting the f4rt and ND0 in then? looked very tight, though, i was expecting the 172 conversion to be tighter than it is.

    Depends which loom your replacing. The engine loom is easy to change in the car.

    its easy to take it out the top! also, why do you take the struts off? only remove the passenger side driveshaft and undo both bbj's thats more than enough room.

    Cheers, i understand the carbs themselves its just the ignition i need to tackle, as ive learnt it all with mechanical dissy's with points etc, and cant use/find that kind of dizzy to use with the 172 lump.

    I may have got hold of some dcoe/dhla carbs cheap. Now, how do i go about with the ignition side of it? are there any dizzy's that i can fit to get it up and running? What other options are there?

    as its the best way to get the engine as high as you want it when changing the belt.

    Do they have the inbuilt plip immobiliser like the valvers? I think the willy 2 + 3 do, not sure if the 1 does?
