oh.....well, never mind them, we all know seasoned mechanics hate to do work!
if its an oilchange they can jsut about be purseuaded, but only if you take the filer off for them. lol
coul use a bearing puller anda large washer to pull the beariing in from the back.......never done the pressing that way as we built a hydraulic ram for bearings/guides etc etc.
if hes got a CVH ignore him lol.......
Yea, i said dont give your pug as PX as 1750 is enough already for the car.
generally, no probs with a clio, but niggly bits pop up as with any 12yr old car.
gearboxes are fine, its generally people having a problem with using them lol.
they have the beaing in teh disc so thats the only complication, but aprt from that.
1.WHeel off
2. Hub cap needs to be pryed off and can be hard
3. Stub axle nut off
4. Circlip off
5. Bearing/disc off the axle
might as well replace the bearins whist your doing it and kits are available. But...
WHen fitting a new cam its best ot get new followers as not to score or damage the new cam.
Fitting followers is a matter of droppin them in a hole, and a whoel set is about 120 quid from Ren so cheaper elsewhere. they usually come with a cam kit.
When running in a cam you have to keep...
Hello Charles,
I am from Jebsen motors in HK and would be most happy to help. It would be very helful to me to let me know who dealt with your inquirery as sometimes the staff at the front desk can be less than enthusiastic and intiative to find an asnwer is not always there.
Anyway, the...
hint people, its all in the relative geometry changes.
If you keep the same offset you move the tyre centre line inwards, affecting your SAI offset, decrease the offset you increase scrub radius.
Did you not swap exhausts due to noise regulations, and i have head of the DTCC.
However, i am still not convinced that a flowed head (std is fine an on std cams can run over 215bhp), the main restriction is the std throttle body.
Please, continue, good info.
never tried it but it does work and it works well.
PLus there is no need to worry about ignition timing since diesels run no conventianal ignition system and basically runn off detontation from compressive forces.
very worth it.
the jetex exhausts are poo........i had them send one to me and i was not impressed at all...........it made 2bhp....whoo hoo!
212bhp, was that taken at the boiling point of liquid 02? lol
your 16V has hydraulic tappets, switching to solid tappets will mean the use of shims to set the clearances during the rebuild, and its an annoying time consuming process.........
Sorry forgot, hydraulic tappets are simply a piston in cylinder. They get pumped up with oil at all times. As the...
Well, if we want to get into detail yes it does work on all engines, but the benefits are minimal.
You can use water to cool the charge, simple. This has the benefit of knock resistence (which you really shouldnt be getting in a non boost applcation, if you are your running too hot and too...
a free blue badger........
its the nuts cause its a plain pipe, no chrome no fancy stuff, just a pipe that works.
plus it doesnt sound like a broken sub in a nova.
they follow the cam lobes, placed inbetween cam and the tip of the valve stem.
Hydraulic ones just allow automatic valve clearance settings, so no need for shims.
When they wear they cause a tappetty noise as the tip gets hammered and stays depressed or it becomes loose leading to larger...
