Cant believe this thread is still goin!!
Anyway, there do seem to be alot of conflicting results, and they vary as much as the power output of a std 172, possible link?.......stanger things have happened.
Anyway, from my testing and findings the 172 is extreemely sensitive to inlet air...
have you checked the pads at all?
all pads now have the slit down teh middle, when this is worn, it not only gives you a visual indicator, but an audio one. The gap now gone, leads to to vibrations which makes the pad squeel........
glaze doesnt squeel, it whirrs.....
but you could try...
I work for renault and it might have some bearing on my car.
My 172 has NEVER had any problems apart form general wear, 4 tyres, 1 clutch, 1 new alloy (destroyed one on some silly street racing, almost killed myself), 1 oil change, dinged and bashed alot!
And not one problem leccy or...
its not linear in the least and is via the ECU.
It has to control idle and snap openings.
Mind you, it is a straght signal @ WOT, so you could try to isolate that signal, but i dont see the point of over complexity and busting into the loom, id ratehr just use the microswitch on the pedal...
well, i really dont see 47 as high, seeing as they do come from another country.
we imose a limit of 200k delivery mies as its got to go through inspections, off the boat, driven round lots, all sorts.....so its not really important is it?
A power boost valve........yes a regualtor, but a rising rate one.
Uses manifold vacuum, imreasing vacuum, decresaing pressure. No point really....so all it means is at full throttle presure increases andso more fuel is flowed per injector event.....just the same as a std regualtor, but with...
crikey!!!
i ordered in a new ECU and loom, re plumed the fuel lines and serviced a V6 in 3 days!!!!
The V6 is dead simple to work ok simply cause thereis no bottom to it!! lol
they wont do much apart from rev it alot....when we had all 14 V6s in for a week all day long was V6s revving...
cams arent really serious work.........but the benefits without proper setting up and re-mapping are quite small.
PBVs dont do much except increase baseline fuel presure with a rising rate. SO, only really give s you any benefit IF your runing lean at any point, and has the risk of running...
as long as it hasnt got any bodykits or ice in it you should be fine.....
sadly mr walkers articles have been sadly lacking in any technical depth recently......
its similar, the new clio has front VERY VERY VERY similar to the meganes, as its their new styling philosophy but it aint as tall and still has a hatch back, although still in keeping with the weird rear philosophy...LOL
im pretty sure i told people about this in the summer when i got the internal info!!??
The new clio is very megane ish lookin and i did mention the same 220bhp motor out of the megane RS.....which is nothing more than a tunned F4R turbo as Ben H said comes out of the laguna turbo, Vel Satis...
the rground cams wont havea change int eh centrline of the whole cam,but yes, the lobe will move.....
nothing wrong, but like i said, i hate them....and the minimal change is just.....well, you know i dont do things half house....LOL
