ok, ive never heard of this ecu before so please explain a little.......its late here and i cant be bothered to read i now.
Basics?
1: a ford ecu
2: ability to control an entire engine from fuelling to ignition.
3: can it handle forced indution?
4: most famous use (i.e modle of car)...
i saw a VTS get T boned at coombe and a specked out supra broadside a wall!!!
last lap of the day too!!!
complete write off. But i have not experienced anything bar tyre wear.
I have recently been given the opportunity to create a non-official ltd edition clio 172.
Im gonna call it the clio RS-R (unless you can think of anything better, cooler, more catchy or likely to get sales.
Anyway, itll be on a nice set of alloys (not decided, a pol might be a good idea)...
WDK, so it looks as if your sorted. Im just learning the mapping and theory right now as im really a carb person (had to adjust blind during races on my 250cc cart!!!)
But if you can get your head round it all (the myth that its terribly difficult) the it makes so much more sense than...
you can check the lama sensor with a decent voltmeter. just wire it directly to the sensor.
When the mixture is stoichiometric, itll read 0.5 volts. and vary between 0.2 volts for rich and 0.8 when weak.
the most likely part to fail with N20 is the con rods, not pistons and rings. These are not such a orry untill high amounts of N20 are used. If you have a hairline fracture in your rod, the extra torque with N20 will exploit it and it will snap. I have seen a civic with N20 blow al its rods...
My clio is standard, but development starts next week to make a 200bhp kit for other clios.
The orbisound aint the best no, they dont have to try too hard once commisioned. But i like it, i dont like stainless etc etc, i just want purposeful. and i like a plain 2" end in steel....race stylee...
i dont get back to the UK (you live in the UK right?) till october, hen i wont be able to start work till mid october after sourcing a head.
Itll take about a month to do.
Your N20 system wont be affected. If its unreliable now, itll still be, its your N20 system thats acting up. However...

haha!!!
nice comp!
i got into overworking processors, but my heat sink designs never worked, even when water cooled and placing the heat exchanger next to my aircon....i went through 3 processors.....then gave up.
p.s. what about megane pistons?
cant you skim the pistons to lower comp, or just enlarge the valve pockets?
Ive been studying engine management and its very time consuming. All the load sites, speed sites and maps etc. But its all very very interesting.
But i wouldnt worry about pinking, detonation (pre-ignition) is...

i thought the injectors can handle another 20-25% flow. Didnt know there was no return line.
Are you just gonna run the injection system as standard? i.e just increase fuelling?

MATE, i hope you pull this off.....lots of luck!!!
Man, and i thought i did a few silly things. if there is little space, in some cases wouldnt it be easier to fabricate a new front crossmember?
oh well, im workin on a few customers V6s as they say there far too slow.
So the engine will hopefully be making 280bhp then have 50-75bhp N20 kits added.
