Looks like something off a Renault 4 or of that era. Don't think it wouldn't been off an alpine as all the old ones didn't used to have renault on them afaik.
Doubt its worth anything.
You can't just fit a generic k&n to a 1.4/1.6 16v though unfortunately, you'll need some piping as the throttle body is at the back of the engine for some reason.
Couple of options there: http://www.k-tecracing.com/catalogue.asp?app=Clio%202&category=Engine
My old 1.6 on an apex -40mm kit (springs+dampers) was the same. They're just not the best really, haven't had anything like it with the eibachs i've got on the 172.
Nope only the back sensor for the level adjustment.
Wires run under the body with the rear ABS sensor cables come up into the engine bay to a connector at the bottom rear of the bay in the middle. They then go to each headlight adjuster, the adjusters are powered from inside the car off fuse F3...
Is the bit that fits the diffuser a surround with the exhausts exiting in the middle? Or as said i'd be worried about melting plastic. Looks quite nice either way but i'm not 100% sold.
Was this the one they're developing on? Get any other goodies?
Its a twin 3.5" and it looks gashtastic imo. Doesn't suite it at all. I'd have gotten rid of mine it wasn't cheap and didn't sound so good. Great sound, good quality, just a s**t fit. You have to mess about a few times to get it right. Mine seems ok now but it's taken a lot of f**king about to...
Lots, don't bother changing it until it slips. Waste of money otherwise considering what it'll cost.
Mounts wise I don't know, a few hundred including parts i'd have thought. Do everything myself so haven't got a clue on what garages charge.
You can call it a rheostat if you want it doesn't matter, but it isn't a rheostat. Does the same job. The cars with normal heating used a normal rheostat but the CC'd cars use PWM instead, hence why you get 3 speed settings on a normal one and 8 on one with CC.
PWM = Pulse Width Modulation, in...
poooooooooooooooowwwwwwwweeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr! :rasp:
No seriously, torque starts to come in about 4k now instead of 5k and it definetly felt quicker after fitting it. Nice bit of noise lower down before the engine/exhaust drowns it out.
Debatably worth £389 (or whatever they are) but I didn't...
No as it uses PWM to control the fan instead but it gives the same function.

The speed controller is on the right of the picture it 5 wires going to it. The fan is the bottom left with the red plug on top of it, if you remove the splash...
Yes but which make/model? Need the specs.
Need to know wheather its capable or being run 2ohm stable (i doubt it by the description) or 8ohm so I can tell you how to wire it. I'm not asking for the fun of my health.
There coded to the car though so you can't just swap them. Why do you want a new one? Set an airbag off? You can get the orignal reset for 60 smackers.
Thats a certain degree of "the pricing world according to cliosport" and its stupid lowness in a lot of cases. You look in autotrader and they're not half so cheap.
I'm not sure i'd be able to 100% trust an older laguna of this age and price, and I imagine (haven't looked a lagunas in depth) that your getting a lot more in the ford than the renault. Just depends if you have this weird thing against fords people seem to have :S, bloody brilliant cars imo...
Been under mine fiddling with the exhaust today and I wouldn't say it looks too difficult. Remove the headshield above the centre section so you can remove the cables from the handbrake bracket. Then they're just clipped under the body going to each rear wheel looks straightfoward enough.
