Adrian flux have always asked me for both, self declaration for the CAT 2 immobilser and the cert/declaration for the CAT1 alarm. Most mainstream insurers don't bother though in my experience.
Assuming its the standard fit one then its because you've locked it too quickly after turning the ignition off and the alarm is still getting a signal from the ECU saying the engine is running. Just give it a few more seconds before locking it and it'll be fine.
If its an import then it won't have an alarm fitted. Do you have an led down by the gearstick?
There should be an installation certificate in with the manual to show its got a CAT1 alarm fitted.
If the ESP/SERV lights come back its most likely either a shot brake pedal switch or its needs adjusting. If its intermittant then it'll probably just want adjusting.
Well i've got a version from late 2007 which is Dialogys 3000 version 5.x.x or something similar. Only trouble is all the repair manuals/tech notes are in spanish . Such a b*****d, as theres so much up to date info there but I can't read any of it :dapprove:.

Any of the tuner list ones should be fine, just make sure the code comes with it.
MOT at renault? How much? I know sutton park down here charge way more than the local garages do.
And as said if it an 05 on 18k then it doesn't need a service until 4yrs/36k which is far too long imo but meh. Renault have changed a lot of the service schedules recently though.
I know my mums...
Get a haynes and just follow the steps its easy. Hardly dangerous as long as you take your time and make sure everythings right. I'd do it if you weren't so far away.
