Assuming its oil from the pic then that'll be oil thats come up the breather and condensed on the throttle butterfly. Wouldn't really worry about it it does like a little excessive but it if hasn't been cleaned since 2001 then that'd explain it. Clean it up and see what happens.

I'm with Chris on that one I wouldn't but try it if you like. Would get the filter wet as well i'd have thought, renault wouldn't have put it there unless it was needed because they'd save money by not bothering.
Doubt it'd make much difference on a 1.2 anyway tbh as well.
I payed 6.5k for my 53 plate monaco blue 172 with 25k on it last July, which was about 1k underpriced compared to the others on autotrader at the time. I'm pretty sure most garages would sell it for the same price now than the 7-7.5k they would've when I bought mine.

Anyway, its the only common thing so i'd check its blown. Can get fuses from halfrauds or a local factors etc, shouldn't cost more than a few pence.
But check first to confirm its blown and to get the correct rating.
They're the same but black and silver writing like all the non rs badges.

Afaik for the standard systems the only difference between them is the bore size, but i'd check with k-tec or magnex themselves for some concrete info.
The venairsport stuff that dave's used is far better than the shitty paper/foil stuff you get with a pipercross. Much more flexible and doesn't rip and tear.

How do you going about wiring one up for an amplified system? As i'm not using the speaker iso connector as all my speakers are directly amped. Using the high level inputs? Or other?

Nope no that I know of. The coil pack is out the of the 3l V6 that pug use, its either the same or very similar to the L7X renault engine. Its been done before ala the old 2.9 V6 engine.
