I've only ever removed anything when my old 1.6 was going in for a replacement throttle body so they couldn't say the bmc was causing it. (it wasn't btw)
Warrenty work was the only time I let them loose on it anyway mind.
The rear calipers have been used for ages on various different french cars so they turn up with lots of things on the box. Yes the fronts are the same as a megane.
The rheostat/power pack thing is to the right of the above photo, solved my problem anyway. The only problem i've got now is being £100 lighter courtesy of renault parts :dapprove: the b******s.
Got in the car to go to work this morning, turned the CC on and it was on the two lowest bars as it was on auto and i'd just started the car. The screen was misted so I turned the fan up, when I got to 6 bars the fans went dead.
Now I assume its the usual rheostat failure but i've got a few...
Will show the 1.6 too because it had more progress, started like this:
Ended like this:
The 172 hasn't really changed (yet ;)), when I first got it:
Now:
You'll get it done under warrenty they'll just need some pushing into it, plenty of lines to go down really. Can try taking it to another stealers for a start and see if they'll do it, if they give the thrashing line then there just trying to get out of it. Don't offer them that for a start...
I hope not, its just there looks to be even less room with all the sound insulation down the lefthand side of the bay and i've got no idea how to get it out? (or if you even can?)
Cambelt has to be done, can't really think of anything else that you could be whilst there out really. Get the aux belt/tensioners done too thats about it I think.
Core plugs, take them off (don't or you'll need new ones!) and the ends of the cams are behind them. You take them out when you lock the cams when your changing the cambelt.
They won't come out easily you have to stick a screwdriver through them and prise them out and tap the new ones back in...
Does it do it when you brake or select reverse? I'll assume it the rear fog?
Its water in the bulb holders and its tracking across when power is put onto the brake or reverse lights, I had it with mine although the holders looked dry as a nuns. Swapped it with some spares I had and it went away.
Thats the bulb fitment. Unless there conversion kits (and don't put them in the standard non xenon clusters unless you want to blind everyone) they won't be HID Xenon bulbs.
For a start get rid of the powerdrums, painting them black looks waaaay better. I've never understood the reason why you want to advertise you got rear drums. Front calipers fine but not the drums.
I don't think its the pads+low fluid or the brake warning light would be on too and that'll be all that lights up then. The ABS and ESP lights don't usually come with that. And whats causing the toxic fume warning light to come on?
Correct if you knew what car it was for theres nothing stopping you from using it to steal the car.
People put them in ebay because people will buy them thinking you can recode them to their car instead of paying renault £130 for a new key. But you can't.
Just to make it clear again the SERV light doesn't mean you need a service it comes on with another light (usually) to indicate a fault.
I'd chuck it in to renault and see what the fault codes read, I get the ESP light on every now and again. Restarting it usually sees it off.
I want to fit an oil temp gauge to my 172 but don't want to be going about drilling and tapping the sump to fit the sender. One option (i think) is to replace the level sender that its got at the moment and replace it with the level/temp sender from a valver/williams ala...
