    Cn be made to fit but not diferct. Swop the B/E from the 197 or make an adapter to match plus need to make it fit the hole in the gearbxo and make the mounts. Forget it.

    Thats nothing to worry about that 14k in 6 months.I'm adveraging more have done for a while its not mega milage. Depends on to mnay thing you often find the least problematic cars are the one with a fair milage and driven hard.

    EGR clean can be done yourself just to to have some spanners etc. IF you've got any warning light see dealership who can fault code then tell you whats wrong.

    Buying a car is a wate of time still didn't stop you buying another car did it. Cars arn't realy a good idea why have a cd player you don't need it etc. There for the enjoyment realy how much you pay is your choice. There cheap since there getting on in age cambelts are £1k with the water...

    It under the drivers side scuttle panel on the heater its got a few wires attached to it do a seartch sopmeone posted a pic some time back. Dead easy to change. Expensive though £85 for the air con/climate cars

    Nope 150k on all Mk2's. Some Mk2's have them like the phase 1's most don't and have it built into the sender unit. Its easiy to replace realy but not needed and at the cost and since even at 150k they can still be fine for another 150k whats the point.

    Do you realy care what others think? I don't Cars are a means to an end if your happy why change. If I were you and wanted to chnage it would be Mk1 V6 not 172 I'd be looking at.

    Well can you tell if its that which is making the noise they are a common problem. Buit at £80 for a new one and a new belts £12 then its 2.7 hours for a garage to replace its a lot of money are you due a cambelt/aux belt changer or had one etc?

    Depends on the car there about even realy the 106 having a lead realy but there no young cars they can loose 20hp easy or you might find one yours or his is a quick one.

    Mk2 phase 2 has rear springs there getting them mixed up with the Mk1. There getting confused no wire needs moving not even sure what they could be on about as the electric rack only wires are on the column and on the center of the rack miles from the springs. They maybe refering to the ABS...
